It probably has something to do with my posts but mostly to do with what I did on lnet yesterday morning for about...an hour. Intead of using my character name I changed it to "Rozyposie" and I changed the game I played to "hellokitty". I then changed it to Huchies because Huch was egging me on about being my lnet internet stalker. I also was "Buckwheet" like I have been for quite some time in the past and we had a large argument on lnet between Yollia, Rolfard, Rozy and myself with Magot and a few others about people buying and selling characters.

Was I trolling Huch and Rozy? Absolutely. Was I mocking them when people would say something like "Buying a wizard spell up for 20k!" and I would respond with "take it to the merchant channel!"? Absolute.

I was not aware trolling was now an offensive action on the lnet channel.

At no time was I issued a warning by Rozy nor was I contacted by Rozy or Tillmen here on the PC. I logged in from a more dynamic IP address early this morning on a character I was not playing at the time yesterday and things were fine. When I got to work, where I was trolling from yesterday, I am now banned. Not from the the channel, but the whole server it appears and it is a IP based ban. I can log in on the other IP address device and change it at will and still connect, even on the character I was connected with yesterday.

I talked to Rozy and she says she did not ban me because she does not have access to IP bans. I sent Tillmen lnet chats as well as a PM here with no response even though he was on the forum. So it looks like this was a Tillmen ban and not Rozy.

I'm shocked I agree with Tisket, but I do.

Tillman is great. Lich is great. I wouldn't play gemstone without it. I've donated a few times. The whole point of lich though is it is open sourced and community based. I don't think it is within his authority, despite being the creator and all of his contributions, to set ground rules to lnet main channel. That's for the community as a whole to decide.

I never had a problem with psinet or Jamus. Nor have I with Tillman. Yes he hosts it. But if you recall, the whole original sexiness of lich was that it was more a democracy than a dictatorship. It is community based, and that's what made it better. I'm not calling him out, but I tend to disagree. And guarantee you, if this turns into a big brother is watching you thing...someone else will step up to make something else and gain popularity, just as lich did. I don't want that.

I'm using Genie right now. It's made for DR but it still works in Gemstone. I did a bunch of debugging and sent it over to the creator. Hopefully it will be ready to go soon. (without the annoying bugs.)

That being said, I'm pretty sure Lich could hook up to Genie regardless.

Genie doesn't replace Lich. It replaces Stormfront / Wizard. Lich can be used on top of it using a plugin. Just sounded like a good time to plug :P
