Plain double leather, 500k - 750k.
Lightening is pretty easy to get done, especially at events.
Found this in my locker. Can't remember where I got it.
a golden vaalorn battlesword
>inspect battle
You carefully inspect your vaalorn battlesword.
After a careful inspection you determine that a golden vaalorn battlesword requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively. It appears to be a modified twohanded sword.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vaalorn.
>exa battle
You see nothing unusual.
>assess battle
You assess the battlesword for structural weaknesses and strengths.
Careful examination indicates the vaalorn battlesword has a base strength of 85 and a base durability of 230. You also determine the current integrity of the vaalorn battlesword to be at 100.0%.
You heft the battlesword a few times, but learn nothing more about it.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the glaes greathelm in your hand...
Thoughts?
The harmonics generated tell you that the greathelm has been infused with the power of a lightning bolt. The magical harmonics reveal that the head and neck are better protected when wearing the glaes greathelm.
The greathelm resonates with your voice, revealing some details of its temporary enhancement:
The greathelm's enhancement will degrade when the wearer is struck in combat.
It should be able to withstand an incredible amount of uses before its enhancement has completely degraded away.
When its enhancement has degraded away, the item will simply return to normal.
As your song penetrates the glaes greathelm, you determine that it is moderately resistant to vacuum attacks.

I believe those all came from the Stone Tenders cottage at EG. I was told the enhancive ones must go into the jewelry that was sold at the ST cottage. (I had no other gem-holding jewerly to confirm that).

>tap shea
You tap an ora-riveted black imflass sheath, which is in your left hand.
>l shea
Black and fluid as a pool of oil, the surface of the sheath is buffed to a mirror finish. Rivets of pale ora gleam from the surface like dancing stars, fastening the sheath to a harness of supple storm-grey thrak hide. Amid a circle of silver inlay etched with repeating geometric patterns, a howling wolf is depicted in vivid detail, its form silhouetted by vibrant argent lacquer.
There appears to be something written on it.
>read shea
In the Common language, it reads:
A Blackworks Original, crafted by Bergraham
>tap axe
You tap an oil-dark imflass moon axe, which is in your right hand.
>l axe
Smooth and dark as the curtain of night, the imflass comprising the handaxe's blade features a wicked argent edge. Subtle patterns are visible in the stygian metal, writhing madly with any play of ambient light. The blade is fastened firmly to a haft of polished orase. Veins of moon-hued silver travel in a serpentine spiral down the wooden shaft, vanishing beneath a grip of storm-grey thrak hide. A faint aura of holy light radiates from the axe.
There appears to be something written on it.
>read axe
In the Common language, it reads:
Eclipse
As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the imflass moon axe in your hand...
It has a bonus of +20 from a normal axe, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in edged weapons to use effectively.
The first thing that strikes you about the axe is the weight, which is about 3 pounds.
Any ideas on the value? Guessing its more of a collectors item than anything else

You wave the hunchback puppet about, causing it to windmill its arms and legs like a kobold on an icy slope.

You waggle your hand around the hunchback puppet, causing it to swing its arm out in mock threat.

You cuddle your hunchback puppet to your chest. Aww.
>kiss puppet
You raise a deranged hunchback puppet to your lips and kiss it tenderly.
>tap puppet
You twitch the hunchback puppet, causing it to march rather floppily in place.

You push your puppet forward to a quick bow.

I found this on a critter, I love the detail and how it looks makes you think how the crack in it came to be, oh the possibilities!
a lapis-crested ebon rolaren stiletto
The blade of this weapon is crafted of deep grey rolaren tinged with a subtle sheen of cobalt. Where the blade meets the guard lies an intricate rose crest, wrought of pure lapis lazuli and framed in bands of silver and black rolaren, but with a jagged crack down the center from some previous impact.
There appears to be something written on it.
Engraved into the spherical rolaren pommel of the stiletto are these words: "Trust not love nor the man that utters it."
I did have it sung to by a young bard, nothing special, it is 4x though, dagger based. I'm curious anyones thoughts on this?
Cool boxfind. You can probably find someone who likes the alter for several hundred thousand.

Boxfound? Not just dropped?
Double check it when you wear it, to make sure it's not scripted/enhancive. Also, analyze it and see if it is max lightened/deepened. Most containers now are straight drops from critters and not found inside boxes. While that may not hold true 100% of the time, it certainly is the case for the vastly larger majority of the time.
Otherwise, it's only worth selling to the pawnshop.

>look at greatshield
Two spherical depressions adorn the white vultite greatshield, approximately the size and shape of a small gem. The chambers currently hold a throne-marked dark indigo orb.
The chamber surrounding a throne-marked dark indigo orb is alive with steady radiance. It appears to have come a bit loose in its depression, and could easily be pried free without causing any damage.
>look at star
Two spherical depressions adorn the ora morning star, approximately the size and shape of a small gem. All of the gem chambers are currently empty.
Fallen
03-22-2011, 03:12 PM
That is a fusion shield and morning star. their worth depends on their enchant and the enhancive properties of the gems inside of it. I would say 100k above their original selling price likely wouldn't be too difficult to achieve. You'd have to check Nilandia's most recent EG item log to check how much they went for.
Drakefang
03-22-2011, 03:14 PM
Those are fusion items from the last Ebon Gate. They are probably both worth about 300k on the open market if you find someone interested. The indigo orb would need to be loresung to determine what it enhances. Each of those items will hold two enhancive orbs.

A master craftsman has forged this ink-black eonake veined falchion. Etched into the razor sharp blade is the name, "Soul Releaser." The ivory pommel is etched with a miniature hourglass and edged in polished gold sigils. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

Hi! I wanted to get a feel for how much my tiara might be worth. So I've done a mark up of how it works and whatnot.
This does not mean I plan on selling it.
an opalescent vaalin filigree tiara studded with a trio of smoky glaes lenses
inspect tiara
You carefully inspect your vaalin tiara.
You determine that you could wear the tiara on your head. The tiara appears to serve some purpose.
You remember that you registered this item about a day ago.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vaalin.
analyze tiara
You analyze your vaalin tiara and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.
You get no sense of whether or not the tiara may be further lightened.
weigh tiara
You carefully examine the vaalin tiara and determine that the weight is less than 2 pounds.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

The tiara begins to glow and gradually, a fiery sigil appears on its surface, depicting the numeral 2. It flickers a few moments, then disappears.
pull tiara
The tiara begins to glow, giving off a greenish phosphorescence. Slowly a fiery sigil appears, depicting the numeral 1. It flickers a few moments like a candle dancing in mist, then fades away to nothing.

Just pulled a spiked mossbark shield, sings as:

+15.
Infused with a dark substance.
Inspected:
Your careful inspection of a spiked mossbark shield allows you to conclude that it is a medium shield that protects the bearer if carried in the left hand. You also notice that it is spiked.
You determine that you could wear the shield, slinging it across your shoulders and back. The shield appears to serve some purpose.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of mossbark.
I assume that means that this is a 3x void-flaring spiked shield.

Yeah that's a great question. If the flares are contrary to the area's "topography" then it's got some practical value in addition to just being dang nifty. Conversely, if it's as Briarfox described, that's a bit of a downer.

Curious what the value of these two items might be
Disk is 2x a week ticket to anywheres in the lands.
Smelter I've lots of info on, but it works best in the hands of a cleric/wizard combo. Basics: Loses 12.5% of silvers to convert to a slab of 2 lbs. You can convert the slab to Gold with about a 2.5 times value increase. To do so you need an orb gem of fairly high value. I found in general a 40 to 60% increase in wealth of what it takes to run it. Also uses 2 charges of a gold wand each use.
thanks,
chris

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the mithglin handaxe in your hand...
It has a bonus of +20 from a normal handaxe, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in edged weapons to use effectively.
The handaxe resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 4 to Strength Bonus.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 28 times.
It provides a bonus of 6 to Ambush Bonus.

You sense that the mithglin handaxe will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.
You can probably get 4m at least for it. Pretty great axe for a rogue/ranger so maybe you'll get more.

11m seems a bit low, but with the current market and the amount of silver moving around, that might be the best bite you'll get.

Weird, I could have sworn there was a post here on the PC from waaaay back when the first disk was released calculating just how much it saves you on tickets in the long run. Can't seem to find it.
2 tickets a week could be either 100k each or one for 100k and one for 300k. At least, 10.4m per year saved, at most 20.8m.
Also uses 2 charges of a gold wand each use.
thanks,
chris
I've never heard of a smelter, but if it works on the same premise as making silver slabs like you do when you cloud a box, then......wait a second. You can just put X silvers in it and it makes a slab, then you run your scripts and voila! Profit!? How many silvers do you put into each slab?

Max Load of Silvers in smelter is 10k. To turn silver into gold, the orb gem however has to worth at least the same value as the base silver slab.

That armor is pretty useful for a pure who wants to be able to switch around their spell hindrance but still have a decent AsG. It could also be a good project set from which to strip the padding, enchant, and repad eventually. I'd say it's worth 10+.

I know that urnon keys (at least mine) bypass most traps. I haven't had a chance to use it on a sphere or scales trap, so it may or may not work on those.
Mine does not work on enruned/mithril boxes.
You have to be able to hold the item in your hand to unlock it, so you can't unlock doors or anything like that.
And if I remember correctly, it's sort of wonky with plated boxes. Like... it'll unlock it, but you can't open it.
I have an older, 12x a day urnon key. I don't know if the new ones are modified/updated in any way, or what.
I suppose 11m is a good offer, considering it's only 2x a day. But, like anything, you may or may not be able to get more depending on demand.

It gets props for niftiness, but unfortunately, after all is said and done it's still a readily available level 1 spell. 3 charges of 601 per day isn't worth much. The niftiness alone nets you a few mil extra, for a starting bid of 5m with an expected purchase price of 9m.

So I saw a face concealer or two for sale, recently, figured I'd post mine and see what anyone suggested for a price:
a lacquered glowbark face-guard - A thin coat of lacquer preserves the glowbark's natural luster, its faint luminescent sheen visible only in the darkest night. Twisted into an exaggerated, smirking visage, the mask's protruding fangs form an openwork cage through which the owner's mouth might be glimpsed. The wood's natural swirls and marks giving it an aged and weathered appearance. Thick black raw silk lines the interior and secures the mask as twin trailing streamers.

You tap a complicated sequence upon the various gears and toggles that line the top of your alum and suede thigh-quiver and are rewarded with the soft sound of whirling gears as the piece gently opens.
You notice that several of the suede bindings on your thigh-quiver have started to stretch. Turning one of the gears on the side of the piece, you are rewarded by the sound of mechanical whirs and watch as the several gaskets turn. Seconds later, the loose binding has been tightened.

It's true that people are maze-drunk, but your pricing model is only true for some items, particularly items that aren't new, novel maze items. Probably the best case in point is that two sets of MCP full plate each sold for about 100m. That's very cheap for something like that, but they weren't Droughtmans prizes so they went fairly cheap. Conversely, 2x a day dauntless went for 80m, because it's novel/rare. Over time, more dauntless items will come out and they will be less rare, but I highly doubt we're going to be seeing more sets of mcp full plate anytime, ever.
MCP plate for 100m..
Did someone actually part with that for that price or was it a prize?

Not one but two sets sold for that price or very close to it. My recollection is that they were 4x or 5x.

What's the ballpark for a 5x TWC set? Longsword and dagger, both eonake (so sanctified), longsword is +5 OHE ranks, dagger is +5 TWC ranks. They came from a paladin-only raffle on the last Wavedancer run, but fortunately the enhancive isn't restricted to paladins, so it'd be good for any TWCer.

4x MBP, max lightened to 12 pounds, spiked, altered
a black painted steel cuirass
The reinforced steel plate of the front of this armor has been covered with thick paint around the crystal angel-inlaid center to prevent rust and reduce noise. An etched pattern of bright entwined lotuses is visible against the thick dark coating. White crocodile hide provides a rugged interior cushion against the harsh metal of the armor and thick straps to attach the back plate. Small spikes are haphazardly set across the surface of the armor. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

I just won 4x full plate, max lightened to 38 pounds, spiked for 2m silvers, though I bid aggressively.
You're sure to get more, since more people are looking for a good set of MBP than full plate.

Looking for an estimate on the following:
rolaren war hammer - made of rolaren. +25
weighs 7 pounds but can be lightened according to analyze
is damage weighted. Not sure how much. Was told heavy.
The harmonics generated tell you that the hammer does extra damage when it strikes.
The hammer resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 10 to Max Health.
It provides a bonus of 10 to Mana Recovery.
It provides a bonus of 10 to Stamina Recovery.
The hammer looks to have almost innumerable charges remaining.
You sense that the rolaren war hammer will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.
Went to guild and tried to find out costs for recharging, but it is full.
This hammer came from ebon gate couple years ago.

I'd say 1-3m for number 2 and I base that on the fact I bought a similar set for 2m. The one I bought was more Faendryl, and this seems more...Illistim perhaps, so depending on those interested you might get more.

I pretty much sold a 4x max light full plate with impact flares for 10m. Some people value flares a lot more then others.

Wondering what this is worth, just coming back to GS and these enhancive things are totally new to me. Might be looking to sell it in the future, but just getting an appraisal for now, thanks all!
You tap some glossy black leather boots, which is in your right hand.
The boots resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 5 to Dexterity.
It provides a bonus of 5 to Agility.
It provides a bonus of 10 to Max Health.
This item is restricted to use by an adventurer you can't quite determine.
The boots looks to have a huge number of charges remaining.

4x HCW awl pike, 8 pounds
a sickle-guard silver rolaren ranseur
Instead of a traditional cross guard, this ranseur has been fitted with what appears to be a modified farming sickle. Tremendous heat must have been required to unite it and the solid rolaren spear shaft and blade. A layer of brilliant silver rolaren plating masks the primitive origins of the guard and accentuates the series of butterflies etched near the tip of the spear.
There appears to be something written on it.

On the first, I'd say 150k-ish. Orb fodder is NOT selling well at the moment.
On the second, it'd depend on if it were crumbly, and how many charges, but I'd start it at 100k and hope for about 250k-300k.

You tap some padded black leather armor with silver-buckled straps that you are wearing.
Wondering if anyone knows anything about this armor. This specific set seems only to be +5 doubles. I, however, see only one other set on playershops, and they're priced at 800k. The only difference I can see between the two sets is that one is 4x. Plain 4x doubles aren't that expensive these days, are they? I did consider the posibility that the person is just storing them there however.

4x Handaxe with mechanical flares...
Two thin metal spikes are attached to the handle of the waraxe. They are angled so that they lie parallel to one another, against the length of the weapon. Tightly coiled steel springs are clearly visible beneath the spikes. The springs appear to be in absolutely perfect condition. You also notice a small enchanter's mark.
How much would this go for?

You swing a viciously serrated moon axe at a hulking troll warlord!
AS: +589 vs DS: +407 with AvD: +35 + d100 roll: +6 = +223
... and hit for 35 points of damage!
Slashing strike near forehead nicks an eyebrow!
That must sting!
** The small spring-loaded blades attached to your axe suddenly shoot out with incredible force! **
... 40 points of damage!
Slash to the troll warlord's right eye!
Vitreous fluid spews forth!
Seeya!

Just curious but would a perfectly forged mithril hammer be worth anything? I made two and only need one, other wise it's just going to take up some space in my locker forever. I know anyone else would have to bond with it, but if someone is working through forging I'm sure they would aquire the necessary reps during the grind. thoughts?

The orb is semi-translucent, and seems to be filled with a viscous material. More ovular than a perfect sphere, it is strangely reminiscent of an egg. An unholy blue light is emitted in a steady glow from some part of its interior.
