That's one of the things I love about metal and the fans actually. That we're so into the music that even if we don't like a band on the first listen we'll keep it on the repeat listens list just because the band is in that particular sub-genre of metal we dig, or is similar to a band we love. Right on. A few years back, before I got into post metal, someone recommended Isis to me and I was listening to Panopticon just kind of meh about it as I walked my dog late at night. Then I happened to look at the stars right when So Did We peaked and everything just clicked. I've been a post metal fan ever since. It was pretty wild.

The guys in this band are all in Kyiv right now, where they live. They were supposed to be coming to tour the US starting this month but obviously the tour got cancelled due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Bummer how one little dictator across the way can reach in and seemingly crush their Ukrainian dreams before they can even escape. They'll all most likely be conscripted soldiers by April if this conflict goes on till then. I can't imagine, going from touring the world on stage to pointing a gun at your neighbors who are coming to destroy your neighborhood.

Obviously there's alot more pain and suffering going on in Ukraine than this one small group of people, I don't mean to diminish any of that by highlighting their situation.
