Disturbed is amazing live, by far the best I've ever seen. They're coming up to the New England area in the near future and I'll be damned if I don't see them.
I'm going to see the show in Bridgeport.

It's not soooo bad there, at least not in the middle of the city. Now when you have to go install a Foreclosure sign in the ghetto parts of the city...not so good. I've been chased by people while trying to put a forclosure sign on their "house".
Harbor Yard is actually a nice place to see concerts though. Nice and small, so every seat is a good one. Saw Weezer and Foo Fighters there last time I was there. Great show.
New Gilles Peterson show (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/gillespeterson/index.shtml). He’s still on the blue note kick but switches in more recent stuff. It’s all very deep, man. And very pretentious I suppose. Still, very groovy and connecting the dots.

The Change-Garth Brooks
One hand
Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
By saving just this one
It's like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
This heart
Still believes
The love and mercy still exist
While all the hatred rage and so many say
That love is all but pointless in madness such as this
It's like trying to stop a fire
With the moisture from a kiss
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
As long as one heart still holds on
Then hope is never really gone
I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world we know
Never changes me
What I do is so
This world will know
That it will not change me

"This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again"

Reminds me of that 'Cathedral' special... as wacky as that may sound.

A little late, but..
I listen to them all the time. Seen them live a few dozen times. They're a homegrown Southern (athens) band that never took off in the mainstream. That CD was supposed to be their big break, but it was too tame and polished for their old fans to like, and probably too artsy/fartsy for radio to.

I have no idea how you got Kurt Cobain entwined with Lacuna Coil with that particular song. That's some of their fucking awesome work back when they were still a goth metal band without going mainstream.

If you're mood is generally dark, if a rainy day, and for many other somber purposes I recommend The Gutter Twins.
It's 2 vocalists from 90's acts The Afghan Whigs (Greg Dulli) & The Screaming Trees (Mark Lanegan, who also is a PT vocalist in Queens of the Stone Age) and their newest effort "Saturnalia".
Highlighted tracks - "The Stations", "All Misery/Flowers", "Circle The Fringes"
Also, if you like folk/dark folk/acoustic music check out the band "Pygmy Lush" and their album "Mount Hope". Amazing stuff, also very somber/moody and well-written.
Sorry if the descriptions are much on the eyes, I am primarily a musician and work for/own an independendent record label so this is sort of my forte. Hope you enjoy.
