Over the course of United States history, these locations have taken on significance to the American story and those who have helped write it that far transcends their namesakes. My Administration respects the legacy of the millions of American servicemen and women who have served with honor at these military bases, and who, from these locations, have fought, bled, and died for their country. From these facilities, we have won two World Wars. I have been clear in my opposition to politically motivated attempts like this to wash away history and to dishonor the immense progress our country has fought for in realizing our founding principles.

The Act also restricts the President’s ability to preserve our Nation’s security by arbitrarily limiting the amount of military construction funds that can be used to respond to a national emergency. In a time when adversaries have the means to directly attack the homeland, the President must be able to safeguard the American people without having to wait for congressional authorization. The Act also contains an amendment that would slow down the rollout of nationwide 5G, especially in rural areas.

Numerous provisions of the Act directly contradict my Administration’s foreign policy, particularly my efforts to bring our troops home. I oppose endless wars, as does the American public. Over bipartisan objections, however, this Act purports to restrict the President’s ability to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, Germany, and South Korea. Not only is this bad policy, but it is unconstitutional. Article II of the Constitution makes the President the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States and vests in him the executive power. Therefore, the decision regarding how many troops to deploy and where, including in Afghanistan, Germany, and South Korea, rests with him. The Congress may not arrogate this authority to itself directly or indirectly as purported spending restrictions.

After the war, Iran's oil interests were divided between the Soviets and mostly British companies on terms that were highly unfavorable to Iran. Iran began to democratize. They had open elections with a secular, progressive government, including elected women who spoke and were respected members of Parliament. The government, among other things, wanted to nationalize its oil resources, taking them back from foreign powers. Because of potential disruption of oil supplies, the CIA orchestrated the overthrow of Iran's democratic government and replaced that government with a brutal dictator, who was hated so much that he was overthrown by the revolutionaries who control and oppress Iran today. This short summary leaves out a lot of interesting plot twists! It's a sad tale, but fascinating and, more importantly, cautionary.

They've done pretty much the same with Marvel once they hit Thor: Ragnarok, the movies just became utter trash aside from the Spider-Man movies (always kind of had a soft spot for Spiderman, so I'm a bit biased...although I did like Toby Maguire Spiderman better, except for the third movie he did, that one sucked). A guy from work got opening day tickets for the new Captain America and this guy is a huge Marvel's fan. He even likes them enough to enjoy the She Hulk series that was trash. He was psyched for the new Captain America, said it was going to be great! After he saw it he said it was a 5 out of 10. A pretty big letdown....he looked like someone punched him in the stomach.

I did like Rogue One. I was going to say the only Star Wars shows and movies I have enjoyed during the Kathleen Kennedy era was Rogue One & Mandalorian S1-S2. Everything else sucks, and there is A LOT of suck. Maybe I’ll check out Andor one day.

I make it no secret I’m a big Cobra Kai fan. The series just recently concluded and is a masterpiece. I wish Disney could learn a thing or two from it.

Thankfully something was done by our government giving bailouts to companies who met requirements to get them that prevented whole lot more of them from closing.
