This is a really big deal geo-politically. Biden leaving our oil reserves empty(17 days worth) could be a really terrible decision if the straight of Hormuz is blocked for any length of time. Major impact to global energy.

Didn't take long for dumb right-wingers to try and bring Biden into this. Couple of things; the 17 day estimate is assuming the United States was ONLY relying on oil from the SPR for it's domestic needs. This is not the case as domestically we produce much more oil than we use. Second, Israel is nowhere near the Straight of Hormuz. Third, you're a fucking idiot.

You are right. Biden giving the primary sponsors of Hamas 6 billion had no impact on this situation. And the global energy supply won’t be impacted at all by one of the primary oil shipping corridors potentially being closed off.

Fun fact, Israel offered Palestinians their own state, freedom, independence, everything, many times and the Arabs have turned it down, each time with a wave of blood. At this point, I have no sympathy for them. I heard a saying and don't know the exact origin but it still sounds good.

"There will peace when Palestinian mothers love their children more than they hate Israel."

So much for the "religion of peace". People need to wake up, these people are at war with the whole world, in the Middle East, in Africa, in Europe and soon enough, here. And yet westerner's keep up with the "it's not all the Muslims" BS. Well, where is the PUBLIC condemnation of the violence and bloodshed at the hands of these Islamist extremists? It's silent because at the root, those Islamic countries and prominent leaders are tacitly approving of the attacks. At this point, if Israel invades the West Bank and Gaza and kills Hamas wholesale, good for them. If other countries get involved, I hope Israel kicks their ass and then hold every inch of sand they conquer and hold it forever.

It would be a lot easier to protect their borders at that point, but they'll still be under attack from those they kick out. Since the people have accepted rule of a terrorist organization, I'm afraid there's no other choice but to evict.

It's in the "Leader of the Free World" part of the clause.

Maybe they should spend less time spying on Boebert in dark theaters, stealing airport luggage, doing cocaine, flashing titties at the Whitehouse and handing 6 billion dollars to sponsors of terrorism. (things you voted for)

because he is in office and it happened under his watch. How did 2 of the best intelligence operations in the world miss this, maybe because he allowed someone with known Iranian intelligence ties into a high ranking position within the NSC. He also greenlit production of up to 3m barrels of oil a day. Trump had it limited to 400k. Biden also increased their foreign exchange reserves from about 6b to 70b. If you want to keep looking, in the final days of the Obama admin they sent 200m to Palestine.

and this isn't even going into how weapons left in Afghanistan or sent to Ukraine are showing up in this fight.

edit: its also really convenient how quickly the left forgot how they attacked every single thing that happened under Trump and blamed him for it yet will not look at this or any other presidency the same way.

And you leave out the most important piece of information. Trump brought peace to the Middle East, so none of this should have happened, so what happened? Why can’t a single Republican admit that “Peace in the Middle East” was complete bullshit. Maybe they used this bullshit “Peace in the Middle East” as cover? Who knows, but the 6b or whatever, and everything else that has happened, etc etc should NOT have mattered, because Trump brought peace to the Middle East, right?

Maybe Biden did all these things, because Trump brought peace to the Middle East, have you thought of that? It shouldn’t have been a problem right? I mean, there’s peace, so what’s the issue? Don’t we usually relax things and become more helpful, in peaceful times?

What’s the excuse? The peace was only as long as Trump was president? The peace had clauses? Maybe there was no peace and it was all bullshit? It’s amusing, to hear republicans come up with every single excuse about how it was Biden’s fault. Yet ignore the fact that it was Trump who said he brought peace and stability, and at the same time, there was never peace and never stability the entire time. Bombings, missile strikes, killings during Trump’s presidency, and after this so called peace, is conveniently ignored.

You want us to take responsibility as a party for what happens under our watch, yet the Republicans can’t do what they ask themselves.

Our intelligence agencies under Biden’s watch completely and utterly failed. Is that because, we weren’t expecting anything, because there was “peace”? Who knows? But I can say my party fucked up by missing this.

Biden is the current president and gave Iran 6 billion dollars and they fund Hamas.

But you know, facts! What are they good for?

The only legitimate fact of your first sentence is that Biden is the current president. No one 'gave' Iran anything, that was money held in South Korean banks from oil purchased by South Korean from Iran that was released. Second, none of that six billion dollars has been spent, why, because of the rigorous conditions on spending that was placed on the account where the money was deposited. So we're back to your original statement; Biden is President.

So, from now on, I really hope that Israel says "fuck off" to the rest of the world and actually goes whole hog on killing all of Hamas, if Hezbollah wants to get into it, then they should curb stomp them too. The pictures and reports of what these terrorists have done coming out of Israel should be proof enough, there is no treatment too horrible to inflict on terrorists until they are all dead. And if Iran wants to spout off and Israel wants to strike them, good.

So, to highlight how Biden caused this for the morons.

Ended sanctions against Iran letting the export more oil so they get more money.
Ended drilling in the US driving oil prices up so both Russia and Iran make more money on their oil.
Gives Hamas "Foreign aid" that allows them to buy weapons.
Releases 6 billion in cash to Iran which allows them to fund terrorism.

Just wait, once Israel does go after Hamas, give it a week or maybe two and the media and foreign governments will start putting pressure on them to back off and so on.

I'll temper my argument so as to not incide riots or accusations of bigotry. Seriously, I'm not for any kind fo war. There is a situation now that we are stuck with, and we have to deal with it. So I get Biden's statements that Israel has the right to declare itself a sovereign nation.

At the same time, history is not completely void. To study history is to learn from it and not repeat the same mistakes.

So, going forward, I am not advocating Israel be marginalized or "retaken" or anything like that. At this point, it should remain. Therefore, it is wrong to wage war on Israel. However, there is colonialism at play. I will try to stand by that argument.

I can respect this and you are right, the root of the issue is the ownership of the land Israel sits on was not always Israel. Depending how deep down the rabbit hold you want to go the Rothchilds are on record saying that they made it happen which makes sense as they control the central banking system that controls the world and have funded both sides of pretty much every war. On top of that it seems like Israel was about to build a new Temple on top of an ancient muslim mosque site. This is why I am avoiding trying to say either side is to blame, however one side is at least acting in a civilized manor and one side is not. In this regard I support Israel defending its borders and protecting its citizens. The problem is that the Hamas and other terror organizations like to use civilians as cover, setting up their command centers and other important strategic sites in major urban centers, residential high-rises, schools and hospitals. There is no good way through this, no good outcome.

The thing that should scare everyone is that there is zero reason this cant happen in the US given the stream of military aged migrants walking across our border. I hope you all have a way to protect the ones you love.

But I am trying to work this out because perhaps diplomacy can curb the impact of war. To understand Palestine's point of view and side is to pave the way for possible mediation, which seems impossible.

Palestine doesn't want their own country.. they don't want to negotiate peace... they have been calling for the extermination of jews and the country of Israel for centuries.

How do you negotiate with a mindset like that?

But really, if you were kicked off your land and told to fuck off, how would you feel?

Be tough enough not to get kicked off your land to begin with.

Is this you just trying to gaslight your way out of Trump never brought peace to the Middle East, and I’ll just blame Biden for it?

What about all the Missile strikes and killings in the Middle East, after the peace agreement and before Biden became president? Is that peace, or that doesn’t count? What’s your excuse for that? “The Middle East knew Biden would become president”?

Fucking hilarious.

Was the world in general more peaceful under Trump than it's been since Biden's been in office?

March 2019
On 25 March, seven people were injured in Israel after a rocket attack destroyed a home in Mishmeret. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that Hamas was responsible for the attack.[160] The Israeli Air Force sent jets to strike multiple targets in the Gaza Strip, including the office of senior Hamas official Ismail Haniyeh, and Hamas' military intelligence headquarters in Gaza City.

May 2019
On 3 May, two Israeli soldiers were injured by a Palestinian Islamic Jihad sniper from in the Gaza Strip during the weekly protests at the Gaza–Israel border. In response, the Israeli Air Force carried out an airstrike, killing four Palestinians. In addition, two other Palestinians were killed and 60 wounded, 36 of them by Israeli gunfire.

Following this, Gazan militants launched hundreds of rockets at Israel. In response, the Israeli Air Force struck numerous targets within the Gaza Strip. In addition, Israel increased its troop presence near the Gaza–Israel border.

November 2019
Gaza–Israel clashes (November 2019)
The 2019 Gaza–Israel clashes code-named by Israel as Operation Black Belt, took place in November 2019, between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) following the targeted killing of senior PIJ commander Baha Abu al-Ata in Gaza, and the attempted killing of senior PIJ commander Akram al-Ajouri in Damascus, Syria by the IDF. PIJ responded with rocket fire into Israel, including long-range rockets fired towards Tel Aviv, leading to several civilians being wounded. In response to the rocket fire, Israel carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling in the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding several militants as well as civilians. A ceasefire went into effect after 48 hours of clashes, though it was breached by some Palestinian militants.

Just in 2019, if there was peace, why would these be happening? Oh you mean peace only involves some people but not all? If that’s the case, don’t call it “peace in the Middle East” or as Trump likes to call it "Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People.

Because it wasn’t, at all.

North Korea and South Korea have more peace than this, and they are technically at war.

I dunno. I am torn because I don't want to shock people but I really see a lot of bad things coming in the world.

Plus I am sensitive of peoples' feelings. If someone loves Trump, who am I to call that person out as being unreasonable? That would be unreasonable.

People are varied, different, have different perspectives. I don't want to stir the pot to much. But the disclaimer is that everything I say is simply my own opinion and nothing more.

War is always about land, plain and simple. Russia wants the land that Ukraine is occupying. The Palestinians want the land that Israel is occupying.

When Israel was made a state after WW1, and the Palestinian refugees were created (displaced out of their homeland - I think in the millions), war was immediately waged on the new Israel. Israel fought back, and expanded their land. Hammas was created to terrorize Israel and inflict maximum casualties of all kinds, it is definitely a militant terrorized group, but when you have so many people without homes, really, what do you expect? I mean, I am not sympathizing one way or another. I believe in peace keeping to the greatest extent as possible. So, (again my opinion), I will not come down on either side.

I have love for America, for after all they are people too. I think that when Don took over it was an instant deterioration in global leadership. But hey, that is just my opinion. Expect destructive chaos.

These SEA airlines don’t even have reclining seats!!

Here’s a little bit for you

From Dima Vorobiev, former propagandist for the USSR.

Ukraine was building churches in the 9th century. Russia was still mostly woods and very tribal. Ukraine had a King who's children married into the Romanoff line, the bloodline for that Ukrainian king still exists in Ukraine, the same cannot be said of the Romanoffs'

When did Ukraine become part of
Russia?
"When did Ukraine become part of Russia?"
In the strict sense of words, Ukraine has never been
"part of Russia."
It's complicated
In our books, in the mid-17th century, Ukraine
"joined" pre-imperial Russia. The thing is, at the time, it was considered a "union" headed by the House of Romanov.
The territories of what is now central Ukraine sought the protection of the Tsar in Moscow. But they enjoyed a degree of self-rule. Only over the next few decades were they stripped of the rest of their sovereignty and became as powerless as the ethnically Russian territories.

Confusing designations
Yet, even then, everyone accepted them being separate from the Russian heartland by keeping the designation of Maloróssiya ("Little Russia," or as the Greeks used to look at it, Mikod Pwoid,
"Beachhead Russia") as opposed to Velikorossiya ("Greater Russia," from Greek Mayáln 'Pwoia,
"Extended Russia").
We retained this beachhead meaning for "little" from seafaring Greeks in modern Russian. For example, one of the memoirs of Soviet ruler Leonid Brezhnev was titled "Little Land" (Malaya Zemlya).
It's about a beachhead created and defended by the Soviet army at the Black Sea in WW2. We had a solemn song about it ? with the line "Little Land is a great land."
No bearing on property rights
In other words, the House of Romanov considered them the same kind of property as Russia proper, the Baltics, White Russia, Turkic territories along the Volga River etc. And mind you, the Imperial state itself before 1917 was a property of the House of Romanov!
But doesn't the fact of being the property of the nominally "Russian" empire (our last Tsars were ethnically German) make Ukraine "Russian"?

Our side of the story

According to the consensus formed by the political class in Moscow, it does.
We ruled over them-"we" being aristocrats in the imperial government's service many decades ago who spoke Russian at home and called themselves Russians, right? Logically, the Ukrainians shouldn't object to us, some 140-million-strong nation of the 21st century, claiming Ukraine as "historically part of Russia". President Putin put forward a strong case for it in his seminal article from last year.
The Master's lens
However, the House of Romanov, a rightful master of both Russia and Ukraine, would strongly object to this. It would be absurd for them to accept that a bunch of their lowly commoners calling themselves a "nation" made a claim on the part of the Tzar's hard-earned property.

Kyiv (Capital of Ukraine) is 665 years older than
Moscow. "Kyiv" (Ukraine) was founded in 432 CE. in 1982 it was the 1,500th anniversary. Russia was founded in 1547. If you are talking about Modern Speaking, Ukraine was founded in 1918, and then later was annexed by the Soviet Union, and on August 24th, 1991 Ukraine got its independence, Russia got its independence in December of 1991, so Ukraine "Modernly speaking" is 4 months older than Russia. So to answer your question, Ukraine is older than Russia.

Does Russia have any historical claim to Ukraine besides when they were all in the USSR?
No, Russia ceased to exist after the Russian Revolution.
The USSR claimed that they were not a successor state to Russia to avoid having to repay debts. Any claim by Russia was therefore not transferred to the USSR.
Ukraine was a republic inside the Soviet Union.
Crimea was part of the Russian Republic before
Chrustjev had it transferred to Ukraine. According to international law, such transfers can only be protested for 50 years, which did not happen,
Since the Russian Federation is not a successor to pre-revolution Russia but to the Soviet Union they cannot refer to things happening before 1917.
So Russia does not have any valid claims to Ukraine.

A little more for you, and a good read

https://uapost.us/en/blog/in-12th-century-the-land-is-first-mentioned-as-ukraine-russia-does-not-exist/

For the first time Ukraine was mentioned in the Hypatian Chronicle. Not Little Rus’ or something else, but Ukraine. Nobody heard about Moscow and Russia at that time.

The Chronicle includes several components: Lavrentian Chronicle, the Tale of Bygone Years, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Galician–Volhynian Chronicles which described the events from 860’s to 1292’s. Sources of the chronicles are diverse: Palatine chroniclers, palatine letters, ambassadors’ reports, military tales, stories of bystanders, the Greek chronicles and so on.
Ukraine is mentioned for the first time in the Tale of Igor’s Campaign against Polovtsy in 1185.

Many sources identify Kyivan Rus with Ukraine. In some versions, such as Ermolaevsky list (1189-1213 years), Ukraine is called Krajina (country), in Kyiv chronicles – Galich Ukraina.
Also, the name ‘Ukraine’ is mentioned in connection with the death of Pereyaslav Knyaz Volodymyr Glebovich, later in the description of events during Galician-Volyn Knyaz Danylo Romanovych regiment.

The myths of the Russian national consciousness suffered a new blow! First, the study of the gene pool of the Russian people, conducted by Russian scientists in 2000-2006 showed that genetically Russian are not Slavs, but true-born Finns, that have no difference from Mordovians.
According to the information from the Moscow-based Center of Lev Gumilyov, Russian scientists for the first time in history conducted Russian gene pool research and were shocked by the results! These studies also fully confirmed that the Russians are not Slavs, but only Russian-speaking Finns. Results of the mitochondrial DNA analysis showed that another Russian nearest relatives, except the Finns from Finland are Tatars: Russians are on the same genetic distance of 30 conventional units from the Tartars, which separate them from the Finns! Russian scientists ended the issue concerning myth of the ‘Slavic roots of Russians’: there is nothing from Slavs in Russians! There is only Slavic Russian language, but it has 60-70% of non-Slavic language, so Russian people are not able to understand the language of the Slavs, although the true Slav understands any language because of the similarity of Slavic languages (except Russian). There are Russians in Russia, but not Rus. There always was and will be only Kievan Rus

So digging into this a little bit, and going back a bit further, Kyiv was once the capital of Kievan Rus', a part of the Rurik dynasty(circa 862). Over time the Rurikids held titles such as Tsar of Russia, Grand Prince of Moscow, Grand Prince of Kiev, and others. The Rurik dynasty eventually was succeeded by the House of Romanov which obviously has heavy ties in Russian history. Now where the lines cross in between im not sure and would need to keep reading and cross checking dates/maps/timelines and as im a couple bourbons into the night, probably wont happen tonight.

So they were treated a bit differently and such, but part of the Russian Empire. I get what you’re saying about USSR and the dissolution. I don’t know man…I get how Ukrainians see it but I also don’t think it’s completely false for Russia to think it should be part of their national territory since it had been for hundreds of years.

Thing is, Putin is definitely an enemy to the United States and I would love for Ukraine to win the war & cede no territory. I don’t think that is going to happen though by the numbers. Russia has the manpower & firepower (even if a lot of it is janky Soviet shit falling apart). The United States has no formal plan or policy for this war except throwing bad money & equipment at it. If we weren’t having inflation issues and massive deficit I’d wouldn’t be as concerned. Ukraine is not an NATO member (and for good reason). It is a national security risk the longer this war drags out with a possible WW3 situation, so other than keeping the war machines busy domestically it’s in our best interest to reach peace. Putin can’t afford to lose this war and is unchallenged domestically because he is keeping the right people in Moscow happy. They will take, at minimum, the Donetsk region.

I’m not saying it’s right, but that’s kind of how the world works. Especially so when you have a dictator hell bent on restoring the “glory” of the nation from Soviet times, which wasn’t that long ago. At any rate, we don’t owe Ukraine anything. Whenever leftists talk about giving land back to the American Indians I always have to laugh at the tribe who holds claim to the land Mount Rushmore is on. This tribe literally killed another tribe who claimed that land as their own, then this new tribe moved in, called the land sacred land, and now wants this land back after they lost it in a war even though they got this land through warfare to begin with.

Unfortunately, as edicted by the British after WW1, 7 million palestinians were kicked out of their land (non-euphamism for displacement) and have been homeless or forced to live in little communities for 70+ years. Now, can you imagine why Hammas was eventually formed and why people in the area hate Israel?

So, when given the choice by Britain at the time to have their own country on most of the same land so there was much less displacement, they chose no. When given the choice 6 times through history to have their own country, they have said no. This isn't a new thing. They hate Israel because they are Muslim and their idiot leaders, for as long as Islam has existed, has told them to hate Jews. Before Islam, as Arabs, they hated Jews because the Jews typically did better than them in the same areas. It's all anti-semitism from the word go. Racism at it's finest and every racist, Leftist apologist like yourself are just covering for it.

It went from "we hate those doing better than us" to "we hate Jews". And it continues today as a religious war because dumb people keep listening to evil Imams and other leaders telling them to hate because 'Allah said so.'

Now fuck off, you and your Leftist shills got played again by Iran, just like Obama did and just like after Obama did, you gave them cash and they funded terrorism. All the blood is on your hands. I hope when they bring their fundamentalist shit here in open war that you live long enough to see the horrors of your creation. Interesting point. While Russia and Ukraine do have close ties, Ukraine is its own country, it was founded before Russia, and has a long history not under Russian “rule” even then, when the Russian empire collapsed, they voided all claims and stakes to Ukraine, and 1991 reinforced that as well. Ukraine has always been in a union with Russia, the USSR was a collection of states, but not in the way America is, it’s was more like the EU in a way.

One country claiming it has a “historical right” is bullshit. Or else China would have a claim to Eastern Russia, England ruled America for almost 150-200 years, Finland would have a stake for northern Russia. Etc etc

No other country makes these “claims” that Russia makes, because they all know they are bullshit. Just like if England made the claim, you would laugh and call it bullshit, or if Russia made its claim for Alaska.

I’m 99% sure if China ever invaded Taiwan has everything backed up and ready to go in the states, last I checked the first thing Taiwan would do is blow up TSMC. I’m sure China knows this, plus watching Russia fail in Ukraine are the main reasons an invasion will never happen.

This is not entirely true. The Qing dynasty ruled Taiwan for some two hundred years until Japan took it in the first Sino-Japanese war. It returned to Chinese control in 1945, and then there is the whole communists vs nationalist with the ROC fleeing there in 1949.

That being said, China can’t have Taiwan. It’s too strategically important to the US, and I dare say worth going to war over if they invade.

So, who’s to blame for the bombings, missile strikes, and killings in the Middle East under Trump’s presidency, and after the so called “Peace agreement” in the Middle East? The people who are to blame, both under Trump and under Biden (and under Obama or Bush or Clinton, etc.) are the terrorists that are blowing shit up. Know why? Because they're pieces of shit and they've been pieces of shit for centuries longer than the US has even existed.

Originally, Russia belonged to Ukraine.

Russia can’t just pick some point in history and have everything that came before, mean nothing. If that’s the case, Sweden picks 1648 and St. Petersburg belongs to them.

I suppose I could have just skipped the quote and opened with "Hey Solkern..." with no quote, since the quote was just so you'd see that I was asking you specifically, but I'll even go the extra mile for you here if it makes you feel better. And also to see how your next tapdance goes.

Anyway...

The people who are to blame, both under Trump and under Biden (and under Obama or Bush or Clinton, etc.) are the terrorists that are blowing shit up. Know why? Because they're pieces of shit and they've been pieces of shit for centuries longer than the US has even existed.

Now that that's settled, let's try again. I'll even remove names from the question if that makes you feel better too.

Hey Solkern, was the world in general more peaceful between 2017-2020 than it's been from 2021 going forward?

It's a very simple yes or no question. Try to include that somewhere before your essay begins.

Sorry Methais, no it wasn’t. According to Google, there were around 225 armed conflicts world wide from 2017-2020, and around 125 since 2021.

That’s average of over 56 conflicts each year during Trump’s presidency each year, and only 46 under Biden.

But go ahead, alter the question, so you can get the answer you want.

If you want to go by deaths, you’re still wrong.

So I am right.

Sadly, a lot of genuinely good people are going to die between now and then.

This guy's obviously crazy, so I will spend no further time on him.

Without borders, nations do not exist. They are necessary if you don’t want to live in a world government. Maybe you do.

I honestly do wanna live in a world without borders.

We should be focusing our conquest on intersteller colonization, and fuckin' up aliens. Not worrying about whether the fuckin palestinians are allowed into Israel or the Israelites are allowed into the US or some other bullshit. It's all a big joke.

But how would you first, make the transition to a borderless world, and second of all, organize people? There would have to be technology like internet referendums on matters, and electing a global leader would be hard. But really, the globalization is a movement in a world I'd like to get behind!

The best option is to live in a world with borders but the freedom to move through them. We need to focus on economic prosperity for everyone so everyone has the chance to manifest their own destiny. This can never happen under the WEF thumb.

There are two stories bouncing around re infiltration of US Defense and State Dept by Iran.

1. Robert Malley was US Envoy to Iran, appointed by Biden, after having been lead negotiator under Obama of Iran Deal. He has been suspended without pay and the FBI now has an open investigation of mishandling classified information -- since he only dealt with Iran, it's not hard to guess what country was involved.

Hired by Biden.

2. Ariane Tabatabai, Chief of Staff to Assistant Sec. of Defense for Special Ops Christopher Maier, is a long-time member of the "Iran Experts Initiative" which is a front group consisting of "academics" and others who "assist" the U.S. Govt in dealing with Iran. Email comms between her and various officials in the Iran Govt show that she has been taking directions from Tehran and reporting on matters learned in her capacity in DOD.
Maier's responsibilities on DOD's website are described as "all special operations, irregular warfare, counterterrorism, and information operations policy issues and the oversight of special operations peculiar administrative matters, on behalf of the Secretary."

These are two HUGE stories now given the events of the past 72 hours.

A key feature of the Malley hiring is the fact that he has known Sec. of State Blinken since high school.

The Biden Administration is compromised by foreign spies.

I don't have kids. I would die to protect my neighbors kids. Love your kids today. Arm yourself, your friends, your family, today. Get trained, get your friends and family trained, train your kids. I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. Remember, millions of illegals hiding who knows how many military age men creeping into our country. This is a religious war and it is coming here sooner or later.

Muhammaed bin Salman just stated that Saudi Arabia stands with Palestine. Thats the death knell for the peace deal. They were set to recognize Israel and formalize relations which would have been a massive deal and one that would have really suffocated Iran. One could surmise that if anyone wanted to derail that deal this exact scenerio would be how you would go about it.

even more curious is that apparently Egypt attempted to inform Israel about a potential plot against them only a few days before it happened and Netanyahu seemed "indifferent" to the information.

Yeah, who knows how much truth is in that rumor. Not a good thing no matter what.

If I was Israel, I'd respond with overwhelming force and frankly destroy the Gaza strip. I'd tell the 2m people fostering terrorists there they have a day to get out going south, then carpet bomb it from north to south the next day.

All you liberal fucks doing your calculus on who to side with need to review the videos from the past 2 days and reset your moral compass. Then read the release from the Hamas military arm saying they'll execute civilian captives live on TV. Then look at our doddering sundowning president who went to sleep at noon today. And Bobby Kennedy just went independent. And the squad all align with Palestine.

Our country needs a gigantic enema to get rid of the fucking terrorists living in our capital, spending our tax dollars on wars and countries that literally chant death to America.

A real president would stand proudly with a people that are surrounded by enemies and is the sole democratic country in the middle east.

Get out and go where exactly? They are all technically stateless. Biden is supporting and standing with Israel… and the left supports Israel.(there are idiots on both sides that don’t support Israel, but they are a slim minority)

Not Israel's problem. They should have thought of that when they fostered terrorists on the strip. Having 2 million enemies sworn to kill you on your border is why there has been war there since go. Nevermind the west bank, just mop up gaza and then you can focus on the west bank issues.

Surely one of those Muslim countries that surrounds Israel would take them in. At this point I say that’s not Israel’s problem. Unfortunately Palestinians (not all, but most) chose terrorism. War is hell.

Both sides…lol. It’s progressive Democrats aka The Squad. It’s a minority for sure,, but Democrats have and have always had an Israel problem within their own party. I’m not aware of any Republicans standing with Hamas. You’re kinda acting like Trump when he said there are very fine people on both sides in reference to what happened in Charlottesville.

Ok. I’m not aware of any Republicans that don’t support Israel, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. The statement itself sounds disingenuous and this is why my political peers criticize you. The two parties are not equal in that regard. One party has several members that are outspoken against Israel and calling for a cessation of hostilities (and not because they just love peace).

I’m sure there are good innocent Palestinians caught up in this, and I do have empathy for those folks. That being said, I totally understand & support Israel’s response & taking every measure to make certain Hamas never attacks their people again.

Yes there are some Republicans who don't support Israel (no outspoken Republican politicians I can think of though), but the Republicans who don't support Israel also don't support Hamas or the inhabitants of Gaza.

There ARE Democrats who openly oppose Israel AND support Hamas/Gaza and some of them even sit in the US Congress.

In each poll the numbers differ but the conclusion is the same: Republicans are significantly more supportive than Democrats of Israel, while Democrats are now more sympathetic to Palestinians.

Oh I’m not twisted. Agreed and I’m not letting that go. It’s not going to fly to say that both parties have some detractors of Israel. As you stated, it goes beyond that with many Democrats openly supporting the so-called Palestinian “freedom fighters” and there isn’t an insignificant sum of those progressives saying that.

State the names. Put their party behind the names.

Here, I'll start for you:

Democrats:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Rashida Tlaib
Jamaal Bowman
Summer Lee
Ilhan Omar
Cori Bush
Andre Carson
Delia Ramirez
Ayanna Pressley
Betty McCollum

Now go ahead and list out all the Republicans that stand with Hamas.

We will wait.

As if sympathy for a dispossessed people were a bad thing. Israel's Arab neighbors have flat out rejected Palestinians for decades and Palestinians themselves, or rather failed leaders, rejected a peace deal that'd have seen them with their own State. Plenty to show sympathy for.

It's their tendency to support radical leaders and now a terrorist organizations that is the final straw for a lot of people. Hamas has been in power for a decade and a half and has a captive, but supportive populace with which to draw fighters and martyrs. It's this reason that I support Israel's action to finally crush Hamas, it's network, it's ability to lead as a government and hopefully their retaking the Gaza Strip once and for all. The West Bank isn't an ideal situation and Jordan could do more to support carving out additional land they stole during the previous wars or uprisings they supported.

We’re on the same page and my hostility wasn’t directed at you. I just find it sickening that some would support Hamas in this conflict, and we should universally denounce the support or tolerance of terrorism. Israel was viciously attacked and they have an obligation to respond with fierce retaliation to protect their citizens. We’d do the same. I too don’t want civilians to die, but that is an unfortunate consequence of war. Israel at least tries to limit civilian casualties while Hamas is happy to target them.
