What a snowflake. He'll make a huge deal over Kapernick "disrespsecting veterans" but he disrespects them himself by being such a pussy that he can't stand to have his toupee mussed up by 18mph wind gusts. He's a hypocritical, draft-dodging fuck that couldn't give a single shit about the sacrifices made for this country by its' veterans.

No, the house in RR opened an access thingy in the landing and put winterberry ale in there but for members only. Some of us felt it was a shitty move because of the community lore bit with winterberry ale. Even one of the GM's mentioned during the grand opening that they should have made it available to everyone. Veteran's Day was yesterday and Trump was attending the centennial of Armistice Day in France at the time. According to Arlington's own website (https://www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/Media/News/Post/5963/Public-invited-to-celebrate-Veterans-Day-at-Arlington-National-Cemetery) they too celebrated Veteran's Day on the actual date of Veteran's Day, which was yesterday, not today which is when the government decides to give themselves a day off.

President Trump demanded Monday that Florida’s contentious midterm elections be determined by the number of ballots counted on Election Day, thereby effectively arguing for excluding votes cast by active duty U.S. soldiers.

“The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged,” Trump tweeted shortly after dawn Monday, without providing any evidence. “An honest vote count is no longer possible — ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!”

The Sunshine State accepts ballots cast overseas through Nov. 16, provided that they were postmarked by Nov. 6. The exception is tailored to accommodate members of the U.S. armed forces who are stationed abroad.

An Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official in the Trump administration was indicted Tuesday on charges stemming from a previous job.

Trey Glenn, the regional director for EPA’s southeast region, helped Birmingham, Ala., law firm Balch & Bingham between 2014 and 2017 to fight potential EPA actions to clean up contaminated sites in north Birmingham and Tarrant on behalf of Drummond Co., which could be responsible for the cleanups.

The Alabama Ethics Commission, which took the lead on the case, said Tuesday in a statement that a grand jury had indicted Glenn and former Alabama Environmental Management Commissioner Scott Phillips last week for their roles in the controversial efforts.

For weeks this fall, an ebullient President Trump traveled relentlessly to hold raise-the-rafters campaign rallies — sometimes three a day — in states where his presence was likely to help Republicans on the ballot.

But his mood apparently has changed as he has taken measure of the electoral backlash that voters delivered Nov. 6. With the certainty that the incoming Democratic House majority will go after his tax returns and investigate his actions, and the likelihood of additional indictments by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, Trump has retreated into a cocoon of bitterness and resentment, according to multiple administration sources.

Behind the scenes, they say, the president has lashed out at several aides, from junior press assistants to senior officials. “He’s furious,” said one administration official. “Most staffers are trying to avoid him.”

The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, painted a picture of a brooding president “trying to decide who to blame” for Republicans’ election losses, even as he publicly and implausibly continues to claim victory.

President Donald Trump is huddling with his lawyers this week to craft responses to list of written questions from special counsel Robert Mueller, sources close to the president told ABC News on Tuesday.

The questions, as ABC News has previously reported, center on alleged Russian meddling during the 2016 election cycle, which Mueller is tasked with investigating. The nearly year and a half long probe by the special counsel stems from allegations of Russia coordinating with members of the Trump presidential campaign.

Trump likely violated federal election laws regarding Michael Cohen's Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal payments.

When Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer, plead guilty in open court in August 2018 to violating campaign finance laws, he also implicated Trump. At the time, these accusations were tantalizing but largely unproven. And of course there were the president’s vehement denials that he was aware of the payments that gave rise to Cohen’s guilty plea.

But the evidence keeps mounting. Based on legal documents and dozens of interviews, the Wall Street Journal has published an article demonstrating Trump’s pivotal role in the payments that Cohen made or facilitated. The Journal’s report makes it increasingly difficult for Trump to believably claim he knew nothing of the payments made to silence adult film star Stephanie Clifford (popularly known as Stormy Daniels) and Playboy model Karen McDougal, who claim to have had affairs with him.

As Cohen admitted under oath in open court, he made or facilitated payments to buy both women’s silence at Trump’s direction. Cohen says he paid directly paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 in exchange for a non-disclosure agreement.

The second payment involves McDougal. According to the Journal’s reporting, Trump made an explicit agreement with his friend, David Pecker, the chairman of America Media (AMI), that Pecker would “catch and kill” stories by women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump. (AMI is the parent company of the National Inquirer.) “Catch and kill” is a practice by which certain media corporations will pay for exclusive access to stories and then not publish them, ensuring that those stories never become known to the public. Cohen says he helped facilitate the $150,000 payment by AMI to McDougal in exchange for her story and modeling opportunities.

DONNA, Texas — It's been unseasonable cold, and wet, at this site of a new U.S. base camp that's now home to several hundred active-duty U.S. Army soldiers. They’re part of the more than 5,000 troops Donald Trump deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border ahead of the midterms to ward off the so-called caravan of migrants headed north from Central America. It's a huge taxpayer expense — estimated cost: $200 million — but the troops have virtually nothing to do.

Here at Base Camp Donna, 10 miles east of McAllen, Army engineers have built facilities to accommodate a long-term deployment: It now has hot showers, laundry facilities, and a kitchen to produce two hot meals a day. The medical tent is outfitted for handling all manner of injuries, but there's been nothing much besides mosquito bites and scrapes from the concertina wire they're putting up.

Many of the soldiers here have served in Afghanistan and Iraq, except here, there’s no enemy to fight and no immediate action needed. The migrant caravan they're supposed to be responding to is weeks away and headed to Tijuana, 1,500 miles to the West. The only concrete mission the troops have engaged in so far is “hardening” parts of the border with the spiked wire.

When that’s done, said Major Derek Wamsley, a public affairs officer at the base, “we move back here and wait for the next request from Customs and Border Protection.”

DONALD TRUMP MAKES ABSURD CLAIM THAT ILLEGAL VOTERS CHANGE INTO DISGUISE IN THEIR CAR AND THAT’S WHY REPUBLICANS LOSE

llegal voters, after having already cast their ballots, head to their cars and change outfits in order to vote again, according to President Donald Trump in an interview released Wednesday. The president also stressed what he believed to be the necessity for voter IDs in elections.

The president made his claims just over a week removed from major Republican losses in the House and in governor’s races, with Democrats picking up 33 seats in the House and flipping control for the first time since 2010.

Trump pegged Republican losses to voter fraud, similar to his unfounded excuse for not winning the popular vote over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

“The Republicans don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes,” Trump said in an interview with The Daily Caller, a conservative news and opinion site. “When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the United States.

Several reports have indicated the president was angry over losing the House to Democrats, and a week ago he even called out Republicans who lost their seats for not accepting his “embrace.”

The president also reiterated previous false statements about voters requiring identification to purchase food, and thus should have the same requirement when voting.

“If you buy a box of cereal—you have a voter ID,” Trump told the conservative news outlet. “They try to shame everybody by calling them racist, or calling them something, anything they can think of when you say you want voter ID. But voter ID is a very important thing.”

Trump also called for the firing of Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes, as she faced accusations of impropriety while the county continues to tally ballots.

Let’s run down a few of the highlights:

Trump’s trip to France to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I was a disaster, marked by a brooding and petulant president mocked and condemned wherever he went. Angry about his party’s midterm losses, Trump has spent his time in the past week insulting reporters in terms that are unusually personal even for him, spinning out desperate conspiracy theories about stolen elections on Twitter and lashing out at Theresa May and Emmanuel Macron.

After deciding not to attend a ceremony honoring those killed in the war because rain apparently made it inconvenient to get there, Trump grew enraged at his staff “for not counseling him that skipping the cemetery visit would be a public-relations nightmare.” Somehow he was not able to figure out for himself that doing so might not go over well.

Trump “told advisers over the weekend that he had decided to remove Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and that he also was seriously considering replacing White House chief of staff John F. Kelly.”

While Trump is considering replacing Kelly with Nick Ayers, Vice President Pence’s chief of staff, “aides told Trump that appointing Ayers would lower staff morale and perhaps trigger an exodus.” First lady Melania Trump’s staff issued an extraordinary statement saying a top national security aide, Mira R. Ricardel, “no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House,” making public a bureaucratic feud that stretches between the White House and the Pentagon.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “With the certainty that the incoming Democratic House majority will go after his tax returns and investigate his actions, and the likelihood of additional indictments by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, Trump has retreated into a cocoon of bitterness and resentment.”

Trump’s firing of Jeff Sessions and appointment of Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general, a move meant to protect him from the Mueller investigation, is turning out to be a mini-scandal in its own right, to the point where the president vacillates between singing Whitaker’s praises and claiming he doesn’t know him.

So Van Jones is being ridiculed on Twitter because he tweeted that Trump pushing a bipartisan bill on prison reform was a good thing.

Let that sink in a minute; far leftists, who have been screeching for prison reform since Obama was in office because our justice system is supposedly racist towards blacks, are now complaining that Van Jones, a black man, is hailing the progress Trump has made towards prison reform.

I guess people really will bitch about everything Trump says and does. I really want Trump to come out and say he's for unfettered illegal immigration into the US and watch Democrats suddenly be against illegal immigration and then watch the wall be built within 6 months.

Acting AG Matt Whitaker under fire for alleged Bigfoot, toilet, time travel scams

Acting U.S. Attorney General Matt Whitaker is facing scrutiny over his involvement in alleged scams at a patent company, including claims of time travel, proof of Bigfoot, and a "masculine toilet" invention.

Whitaker was named to the advisory board of World Patent Marketing in Nov. 2014, the same month the Miami Beach-based firm announced the launch of an extra-deep toilet designed to help "well-endowed men" go to the bathroom without their genitalia making contact with the porcelain or water.

"The average male genitalia is between 5 inches and 6 inches," the invention-marketing company said. "However, this invention is designed for those of us who measure longer than that."

Whitaker appeared in some promotional videos for World Patent Marketing, including for a hot tub product, but also used his name as a former U.S. Attorney and Republican candidate for United States Senate to bolster the company's stranger items.

For example, a promotional video from the company claimed "DNA evidence collected in 2013 proves that Bigfoot does exist" to help sell Sasquatch dolls and a celebrity event called "You Have Been Squatched!"

World Patent Marketing also said "time travel" could be "possible, perhaps within the next decade" to raise money for a "theoretical time travel commodity tied directly to price of Bitcoin." Time Travel X was branded as "an investment vehicle" that could help users "relive moments from your past" or "visit your future."

The Washington Post reports World Patent Marketing was forced to shut down in May, agreeing to pay a settlement of nearly $26 million to resolve wide-ranging Federal Trade Commission complaints about defrauding investors.

DONALD TRUMP TELLS FOX NEWS HE WAS TOO 'BUSY ON CALLS' TO VISIT ARLINGTON CEMETERY ON VETERANS DAY

Donald Trump said he “should have” attended a service on Veterans Day at Arlington Ceremony earlier this week, a rare public regret by the president, but also offered an excuse about making “calls for the country,” according to part of an interview released by Fox News on Friday.

Trump sat down for an interview with anchor for Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, who asked the president why he did not go to the ceremony on Monday. Trump has received significant criticism for failing to have a public event on Veterans Day, despite his heavy campaigning and robust public support for veterans and the military, and for his opting not to attend a ceremony in France where American troops killed in World War I lied.

Trump hails Saudis as 'spectacular ally' in wake of CIA Khashoggi reports

President Donald Trump on Saturday heralded Saudi Arabia as a “spectacular ally” two days after his administration leveled sanctions against 17 Saudi officials for the death of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The president said he had not yet been briefed by the CIA on the latest developments in the investigation into Khashoggi’s murder in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last month, but he would speak to intelligence officials and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo later Saturday.

Trump demurred on any potential involvement by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whom the CIA has concluded ordered Khashoggi’s assassination by a team of Saudi agents, according to a report first published Friday by the Washington Post.

“As of this moment we were told that he did not play a role,” the president told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, before embarking to California to observe the devastation from a spate of wildfires that have torn across the state, killing more than five dozen and leaving hundreds missing. “We’re going to have to find out what they have to say.”

Trump also rejected a Thursday report by NBC News alleging that his administration is considering extraditing exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen in the hope of dissuading Turkish President Recep Erdogan from punishing the Saudis for Khashoggi’s murder.

“It’s not under consideration,” Trump said, adding that “we’re having a very good moment with Turkey,” and citing Erdogan’s release of American pastor Andrew Brunson in October.

“You know, we also have a great ally in Saudi Arabia,” the president said. “They give us a lot of jobs and a lot of business and economic development. They have been a truly spectacular ally in terms of jobs and economic developmen

President Donald Trump sat down with Fox News’ Chris Wallace to discuss the Friday ruling on the lawsuit brought against him by CNN and Jim Acosta. Judge Timothy Kelly ordered the White House to “immediately restore” Acosta’s so-called “hard pass,” which grants him access to the White House for reporting. Acosta had his pass revoked after a heated press conference that involved a White House staff member having to physically take a microphone out of his hand when he refused to stop asking questions.

Judge Kelly’s ruling was based on the idea that the White House failed to provide Acosta with adequate due process when they took away his hard pass.

President Trump’s take on this development?

“It’s fine. It’s not a big deal,” the president said.

Trump said that as a result of this, the White House is now working on “rules of decorum” for press conferences. The reasoning seems to be that this way, reporters will be aware of what constitutes a violation before the White House takes any action against them.

“We’re gonna write ’em up right now. It’s not a big deal,” Trump said. “And if he misbehaves, we’ll throw him out.”

Additionally, Trump recognized that instead of kicking people out, he himself can just walk away.

“I will says this. Nobody believes in the First Amendment more than I do,” Trump said. “And if I think somebody’s acting out of sorts, I will leave. I’ll say, ‘Thank you very much, everybody, I appreciate you coming,’ and I’ll leave. And those reporters will not be too friendly to whoever it is that’s acting up.”

President Donald Trump dismissed criticism from the retired four-star admiral and former Navy SEAL who led the raid that took out Osama bin Laden in 2011 in a new interview on “Fox News Sunday.” And he did so in a typically Trump fashion: by attacking him. “Wouldn’t it have been nice if we had gotten Osama bin Laden a lot sooner than that?” Trump said.

Trump lashed out at the decorated admiral, William McRaven, after Fox’s Chris Wallace noted McRaven’s criticisms of Trump’s anti-press rhetoric, shortly after the president took office in 2017. “We must challenge this statement and this sentiment that the news media is the enemy of the American people,” McRaven said at the time. “This sentiment may be the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime.”

Wallace raised McRaven’s comments in a televised back-and-forth with Trump who, nearly two years later, has only increased his antagonism towards the press. In response, Trump dismissed McRaven as a “Hillary Clinton backer and an Obama backer.” Then he went for the gut-punch by attacking McRaven’s military accomplishments.

Trump literally can't stand an iota of criticism so he lashes out at his military commanders. He's unstable just like the rest of his fascist base.

The leader of Finland denied on Sunday that he’d ever told President Donald Trump that the small Nordic nation relies upon “raking” its forests to prevent wildfires — even though Trump promoted the dubious conservation method during a visit to flame-ravaged California over the weekend.

“You look at other countries where they do it differently, and it’s a whole different story,” Trump said Saturday, standing alongside Gov. Jerry Brown and Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom of California among the charred ruins of the Skyway Villa Mobile Home and RV Park in the town of Paradise.

“I was with the president of Finland, and he said, ‘We have a much different — we’re a forest nation.’ He called it a forest nation,” Trump continued. “And they spent a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things, and they don’t have any problem. And when it is, it’s a very small problem. So I know everybody’s looking at that to that end. And it’s going to work out, it’s going to work out well.”

But President Sauli Niinistö of Finland told Ilta-Sanomat, the country’s second-largest newspaper, on Sunday that he never discussed raking with Trump during their brief meeting in Paris last weekend, where the leaders attended various commemorations marking the centennial of the armistice that ended World War I.

Trump just lies through his teeth all day and all of his retarded snowflake base just eats this shit right up, because they're bereft of morals and brainwashed to worship their God-Emperor.

Trump continues to show what a craven fool he is by trying to attack Admiral McRaven.

WASHINGTON – Retired four-star Admiral William McRaven – the leader of the operation that killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden – fired back after President Donald Trump dismissed him as a "Hillary Clinton fan" and an "Obama-backer" in a Fox News interview that aired Sunday.

Trump made the comment during an exchange with "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace about the president's labeling of the news media – or at least the media he doesn't like – of being the "enemy of the American people."

Wallace brought up McRaven's assertion that Trump's attitude toward the media constitutes "perhaps the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime."

"Hillary Clinton fan," Trump said, interrupting Wallace the moment the Fox News host mentioned McRaven.

"Excuse me, Hillary Clinton fan," the president repeated, as Wallace tried to continue.

" ... who led the operations, commanded the operations that took down Saddam Hussein and that killed Osama bin Laden, says that your sentiment is the greatest threat to democracy in his lifetime," Wallace said.

"OK, he’s a Hilary Clinton backer and an Obama-backer and frankly ... " Trump replied.

"He was a Navy SEAL 37 years," Wallace interjected.

"I did not back Hillary Clinton or anyone else," McRaven said in a statement to CNN on Sunday in response to Trump's comments. "I am a fan of President Obama and President George W. Bush, both of whom I worked for."

McRaven said he admires all presidents, "regardless of their political party, who uphold the dignity of the office and who use that office to bring the Nation together in challenging times."

"I stand by my comment that the President's attack on the media is the greatest threat to our democracy in my lifetime. When you undermine the people's right to a free press and freedom of speech and expression, then you threaten the Constitution and all for which it stands."

In an interview on CNN Sunday, retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling characterized McRaven as an “unbelievable patriot” and a “true servant” of the Constitution.

Asked about Trump’s comments on McRaven, Hertling responded: “Having someone like the president of the United States, a man that holds an office that’s supposed to represent all people and who says he supports the military, to just dismiss this great American hero as a guy who was a Hillary Clinton lover — which is patently not true — is just really disgusting. But it’s just another day in the life of the Trump administration I guess.”

Hertling also slammed Trump’s failure to honor veterans at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day.

“It’s a factor of leadership,” he said. “Leaders know what to do, where to be, what things to say. And in all three of those things, I think the president is currently a failure.”

WASHINGTON — President Trump told the White House counsel in the spring that he wanted to order the Justice Department to prosecute two of his political adversaries: his 2016 challenger, Hillary Clinton, and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, according to two people familiar with the conversation.

The lawyer, Donald F. McGahn II, rebuffed the president, saying that he had no authority to order a prosecution. Mr. McGahn said that while he could request an investigation, that too could prompt accusations of abuse of power. To underscore his point, Mr. McGahn had White House lawyers write a memo for Mr. Trump warning that if he asked law enforcement to investigate his rivals, he could face a range of consequences, including possible impeachment.

The encounter was one of the most blatant examples yet of how Mr. Trump views the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. It took on additional significance in recent weeks when Mr. McGahn left the White House and Mr. Trump appointed a relatively inexperienced political loyalist, Matthew G. Whitaker, as the acting attorney general.

It is unclear whether Mr. Trump read Mr. McGahn’s memo or whether he pursued the prosecutions further. But the president has continued to privately discuss the matter, including the possible appointment of a second special counsel to investigate both Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Comey, according to two people who have spoken to Mr. Trump about the issue. He has also repeatedly expressed disappointment in the F.B.I. director, Christopher A. Wray, for failing to more aggressively investigate Mrs. Clinton, calling him weak, one of the people said.

Trump says he doesn't believe the Climate report that was released last Friday

The National Climate Assessment released by the Trump administration last week underscores something the Pentagon has been saying for more than a decade: Climate change poses significant national security risks, everything from rising sea levels that threaten to inundate U.S. military bases, to droughts, floods, and other extreme weather that can spark wars over scare resources, such as food and water.

The report, which is mandated by Congress, concludes, “Climate change, variability, and extreme events, in conjunction with other factors, can exacerbate conflict,” and notes that climate change is already affecting U.S. military infrastructure by damaging roads, runways, and waterfront infrastructure.

The comprehensive report is based on 1,000 previous research studies and was issued by 13 separate federal agencies to underscore a threat that was part of the official National Defense Strategy for 10 years — until it was excised from the document under President Trump.

Ukraine applied to join the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) in 2008. ... However, since Russia's invasion of eastern Ukraine and Crimea, public support for Ukrainian membership in NATO has risen greatly. Since June 2014, polls showed that about 50% of those asked supported Ukrainian NATO membership.

The Russians are of course against it, support in Ukraine is at near 70 percent however. Any time a former Soviet satrap tries to distance themselves Russia threatens action.

Trump's comments on Rex Tillerson in chronological order. :lol2:

Whether I choose him or not for "State"- Rex Tillerson, the Chairman & CEO of ExxonMobil, is a world class player and dealmaker. Stay tuned!

I have chosen one of the truly great business leaders of the world, Rex Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil, to be Secretary of State.

The thing I like best about Rex Tillerson is that he has vast experience at dealing successfully with all types of foreign governments.

Congratulations to Rex Tillerson on being sworn in as our new Secretary of State. He will be a star!

The media has been speculating that I fired Rex Tillerson or that he would be leaving soon - FAKE NEWS! He's not leaving and while we disagree on certain subjects, (I call the final shots) we work well together and America is highly respected again!

Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn't have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn't get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State

The president says they said they were misquoted and that media reports of what they said about the current global threat assessment was "fake news."

Misquoted? Their testimony is public record. I'm not sure if Trump is a compulsive liar or if he really is suffering from some kind of dementia. Maybe we should just forget about impeachment and go directly to the 25th amendment.
