If anything, Dark Tranquility is working off of the scraps of Old Man's Child (another band you'll have to Wiki).
Oh no, that is my opinion. I was forced to listen to them both for months at a time due to my one ex boyfriend and my former friend. I'll admit I may not know a ridiculous fan girl/boy amount of DT or In Flames, since they both make me squeamish, but if I had to pick one it be In Flames only because their music sparks originality while Dark Tranquility entertains riffs in their music that have been recycled in more than enough "metal core" bands.

lol, and are you in Yorke's personal army or something? Get over yourself, cause he isn't flattered.

Ok, so you've figured out that your attempt at an organized argument was shot down, and now you're resorting to the "<insert person> exposed me to them, so I can make a sound judgement of their musical ability" on top of "icky" appeal (ZOMG SO SQUEAMISH)?

You referred to Dark Tranquility (a melodic death metal band) as metalcore, which on its own is enough to lose any merit your argument would've had. Those are two VERY different genres, and if you cannot recognize as much, it's no wonder that your fledgling musical career went down the pipes. At least you knew when to cut your losses on that bs about random indybitch's rendition of Creep.

Finally, who is Yorke, and why do I care?

Watching/listening to the video for "what's a girl to do" by Bats For Lashes on youtube.. Very cool song and video. Reminds me of Donnie Darko mixed with a bit of David Lynch.. The video, that is.

Your useless attempt of trying to make any sense of music quickly diminished when you, someone who was bitching so much about a Radiohead cover, doesn't know who Thom Yorke is.

I laughed so goddamn much right now. Thanks for making my day.

Now go along and play with your Guitar Hero and pretend to be a rockstar.

...and I need to know, and obsess, and jizz all over a 8x10 of their singer to appreciate his vocals?

Seriously... just because you're content with the whole preteen Hanson stalker vibe, that doesn't mean I have to know the band on a personal level.

Go laugh; from the way you justify your bullshit, odds are you need all the happiness (however shallow) you can find in your otherwise miserable life. <3
