Good question. I'll tell you what I think but don't take my word for it definitely look for answers yourself. I think journalists should be digging into it in the coming week.

What I see in that examiner article that I linked is..

internal records and prior inspector general reports show the 274 personnel were part of a broader law enforcement surge in response to the violence and unrest that erupted at the Capitol that day.

So after those initial reports came out last year this is a newly released one that consists of testimony from the actual agents themselves.

None of them have said that they were there to agitate. All the reports and testimonies so far say they were sent in response to the already occuring event.

To call it an "insurrection" is beyond retarded though.. can we agree? You can't overthrow a country... let alone a power like the United States by having a couple thousand unarmed people go into the Capitol.

That's right up there with "OMG THIS IS AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!" and "TRUMP IS LITERALLY HITLER". It requires a complete ignorance of history and the stupidity to continue to parrot the talking point even when it makes literally zero sense to normal IQ individuals.

So, who's fault was Jan 6th? If we are going by your own stupidity that it was an "ZOMG A INSURRECTION!", how did we allow it to even happen? We host hundreds of protests in DC (especially when it's a Republican President because you know... outrage and unemployed = professional agitators).. how were we so painfully ineptly able to handle 2000 people?

It was a crisis of their own making.

They were purposefully understaffed.

They had enough undercover feds / informants in the crowd.

And they used this created crisis to go after Trump.

Someone in the right wing media network MISUNDERSTOOD this article from the Washington Examiner, spread that misunderstanding around as proof of a cover up, then the echo chamber went to work, someone made a video, and here it is on the PC just 8 hours later assuming the timestamp is EST.

Pretty amazing how fast and far bullshit travels these days.

No one has ever disputed that there were 1000s of peaceful protesters at the original Eclipse rally. It's just that 2000 or so of them split off and invaded the Capitol as was planned in the month prior.
