The problem with people like Back is they think it will never happen to them.
"There should be a wealth tax on the ultra wealthy! That will never be me!"
Then once they take away all of the wealth and there are no more millionaires or billionaires they will need to find even more money so they start to target what is now considered the middle class.
"Oh you have a car? That's a luxury you don't need! Wealth tax for you!"
The goal of communism and socialism is everyone is "happy" being poor.

That's how the entire idea of federal income tax was sold to the people. It was only for the top 2-3% of the super wealthy.

We're already a socialist democracy. You approve of police, roads, social security, a military (which itself is very socialist in operation), subsidies for farmers, subsidies for industry and so on.
