When you barely bring in 1.77 million viewers on a long standing network show, you aren't making money. There are youtubers filming at a desk making that many viewers per week while putting out a lot more content.

Most employment contracts have a "reasonable cause" termination option where they don't have to pay out the rest of the contract. That way they don't have to wait to the end of the contract or to pay out the rest of the negotiated rate for the rest of the contract to terminate early. Well, shit the bed for your employer and you have given them "reasonable cause" so that if you want to sue, you can most likely suck rocks.
