I've never heard anyone use the term 86 to refer to violence or assassination. The way I've heard it commonly used is when a restaurant runs out of something they will say it's 86ed. Or they might say 86 the pork loin meaning they ran out of it in the kitchen.

It literally makes no sense at all in that context. There is no legitimate excuse for Comey to mean it any other way than to call for Trump to be eliminated... but he has plausible deniability unless someone can produce some correspondence he has used the term "86" in the past to mean to eliminate something.

He should be held accountable for his words though.. with a full investigation.

My favorite part of this is that the same people who claimed that Trump incited an armed insurrection but can't actually produce the exact words that incited it... are the same people who claim they've never heard of this "86" thing and it's a nothing burger.
