Don't get discouraged though, because no one here expects you to be able to wrap your head around any of this.
Because we're talking about helping the working class. Federal government needs to operate. The treasury secretary who says federal minimum wage should stay at $7.50 clearly does not have the working class in mind. If anything it should be at the highest level of all the states.

Everybody seems perfectly willing to subsidize billion dollar companies with our tax dollars while they raise prices and pay shit wages. Why are you okay with our current system of wildly uneven wealth redistribution?

Well that's just one example of a program that helps feed people. Like I said in my post we pretty much got everyone covered here thanks to programs like these and others.

There is no case in history where the racist minimum wage laws helped anyone out of poverty. All they do is price low and no skill workers out of the market, hurt small business and make the poor poorer.

A negative impact to increasing the minimum wage is that businesses that hire unskilled labor at those wages most often will simply hire less workers. We have seen this happen recently in California and it’s especially relevant today with the AI revolution.

Flippy the robotic burger cook doesn’t care about wages, won’t unionize, and is happy to work as many hours as it’s employer demands…

So let me get this straight: you want US tax dollars to go to overseas so they can create a transgender comic book character while US citizens starve, but you're okay with US citizens starving because other US citizens are donating their time and money to non-profit organizations that help US citizens so they don't starve?

You don't have to be the biggest dumbass to ever live, Back, that is a choice at this point.

    Agreed and well said.

As someone who volunteers in a charity whose goal is to feed, shelter, and clothe the poor, I can confirm with first hand experience that there are many families & children in America that are malnourished.

You're just wrong and painfully ignorant.

    Here, from ChatGPT:

In the United States, around 34 million people, including 9 million children, experience food insecurity annually, according to data from Feeding America and the USDA. Food insecurity refers to limited or uncertain access to enough nutritious food for an active, healthy life. While not all food-insecure individuals are necessarily underfed, many face challenges in consistently meeting their dietary needs.

And yet they even say they aren't getting to everyone, so yeah, you're wrong.

After all this time you're still putting words in people's mouths. Settle down there little buddy. Don't let them scare you into giving them everything they want which is everything!
