I don't mind spending money to feed other people. In fact I'd erase defense and have it all spent on feeding people. But that's never going to happen and I accept that. Someone else may not want to feed people. Someone else may want all of that money spent on defense. Same rules apply. We compromise.

Don't get me started on subsidized oil companies and billionaires. You want to start cutting some budget have at it.

How this is all unfolding before us is a shit show. A completely off the rails mess that's embarrassing and quite frankly probably extremely dangerous to a number of people. A simple review of things could have been requested but these fucking clowns want to attention whore for the keks. They are drunk with power. They don't give a shit.
    1) The United States is not a democracy. The citizens of our constitutional republic elected Donald Trump along with a congress that is majority Republican. Trump is delivering on his campaign promises to cut spending. I didn’t like Biden’s policies or vote for him, but that’s the way the election went. If you want change & compromise, you get to wait your turn with the midterms & next presidential election just like I did.

    2) If you erase defense spending, our currency would collapse and the barbaric hordes of the East would invade our country to kill all the men, rape our women, & enslave of our children.

    3) I’m all for feeding starving citizens of our country. As the richest country on Earth, no American should have to go hungry. That statement does not apply to non-citizens. Also, I am more interested in spending money that effectively elevates the working class ability to earn more so they can achieve a better standard of living without reliance on direct government aid.

Other countries can have lowballed defense spending and put all their cash into welfare programs because they know we won't let China or Russia come in and wipe them out.

If anything, I think we should start back up civic projects that employ anyone, regardless of age or disability, and they'd get paid in room, board, and job experience, and we can use this labor to help fix our crumbling infrastructure. Then there'd be literally no reason to be homeless.

How is this a surprise to you? Trump claimed on "Day one" this, that and the other thing will be getting done. By my count, he's behind on his promises. He needs to move even faster imo.

So called cuts to employment in the federal agencies under the executive branch is pure political targeting/elimination of non-republicans from the government.
Our government is run by unelected bureaucrats. This was obvious in Trump's first term.. and most certainly in Biden's only term as "President" as he wasn't running the show at all.

USAID is an entirely different animal. I'd have to see everything it funds and I don't have the time to do that because I've got to go to work to support my family.
Literally it would take you a simple google search to find out what they are cutting. You work for a total of 8 hours a day... 40 hours a week. That leaves you 128 hours. Feigning ignorance again.

I'm sure there are things that can be cut from it but I don't see the point of shutting it all down to do that. Why not have an audit? From what I understand a lot of people's livelihoods depend on that money not to mention everybody who works for the agency and their livelihoods.
DOGE tried to just do an audit on the Treasury department... and instead of complying.. the unelected bureaucrat just quit.

And yes, USAID did have tons of dependents... Politico, after getting millions from our government.. couldn't make payroll for the first time.

Do you believe that our federal government should be giving millions and millions of dollars to our "independent" media? Imagine if our government funded Fox News... you would throw one of your special meltdowns.

And tell me how erasing climate change or transgender issues from government websites is saving any money at all? It's not. It's Big brother erasing information that you have a right to see.
Take a look at what programs DOGE has identified and we will no longer be funding. Then come back and tell me it's not saving any money at all.

Do you really expect to see any benefit from all of these cuts? Do you expect a check in the mail? If you do you are a fool. You will not see one dime of any of these savings because it's all going to the corporations in terms of tax cuts and subsidies. Don't be fooled my friend. They are not doing this for you and me.
Sometimes you don't do things for personal gain.. you do them for the betterment of our society. Maybe stop thinking about your wallet and how empty it is.. and think about the country you live in and the children (not yours thankfully) that will be bearing the weight of our fiscal irresponsibility.

^ This is the kind of retarded shit that democrats have relied on for so many years to stay in power.

Name 3 USAID cuts that you disapprove of, and explain why.

Either way, I hope you and your vegan cats have fun watching it along with your entire party crumble in real time. Those cunts and their useful idiots such as yourself who have enabled them for so long deserve it.

Mostly unrelated, but too hilarious to ignore because you're stupid...

Says the "Make billionaires pay their fair share!" retarded NPC #847613. Do you expect any of the above stuff that you listed if "the rich" pay more taxes?

I really don't have much to say about your first two points.

On your third point I have two comments.

Feeding people is a no-brainer. No matter who they are where they are how they got to where they are or whatever. The USAID thing is so sad because while no one starves in America we pay our own farmers for food to distribute to those around the world who do. That's just a win-win for everyone.

One of the things I'm trying to convey to you guys on this board is that this administration is not going to help the working class. It's corporate, it's billionaires, it's shareholders, is where the help is going to go. Even the treasury secretary who is just confirmed said he didn't want to raise the Federal minimum wage and instead wants to punt to the States. He said it out loud In a Senate confirmation hearing.

Except there literally are people in the US that are starving. Millions of underfed children when school lets out in Summer too. We have people dying on the streets. Not a single fucking dime should leave this country until every child, at least, has adequate nutrition.

Leaving it up to the states?! Not that! NOT THAT! MY GOD! ANYTHING BUT THAT!

Back, I know you're in your 50's if not older, yet going by just your posts you sound like a naive 20 year old who just started college and doesn't understand why we can't just all donate 10 dollars a week to feed the entire world.

Have you not grown up a single day in the past 30+ years?

What's wrong with that? $20 minimum wage in California, for example, would have drastically different results than $20 minimum wage in Alabama.

Don't get discouraged though, because no one here expects you to be able to wrap your head around any of this.

Actually starvation in America is almost non-existent. We've actually managed to cover everybody with the various programs that are out there.
