FFS can we get a Trump EO to cap Netflix prices? Half the crap isn't made in America and yet we keep getting jacked?

Geez. I haven't had an active Netflix subscription in at least 10 years. At first I missed it, then stuff like Hulu and Amazon Video came out with much better pricing and I didn't care about Netflix at all.

Now Hulu and Amazon Video prices are pretty much on par with Netflix, but Netflix these days seems to be mostly about their own content and less about the content I used to care about. All of that old content went to places like Hulu, Amazon Video, HBO Max, and the 10,000 other paid streaming services.

I got suckered in by family for the cheap $8 outside household add-ons. So I have two other households I'm now carrying and my monthly out of pocket right now is $44, and now about to be almost $50! Bastards.

Wow. Yeah that's more than I pay for Hulu, Amazon Video, and HBO Max combined.

I always felt Amazon Video was basically free anyways because I've had an Amazon Prime subscription for years before Amazon Video came out just because I wanted the free 2 days shipping.

Sounds like they need to pony up.

They pony up the 8 bucks each, and I keep taking the base increases like a man. And Netflix shares are about to hit $1000. Entrapment!

I like Netflix because it has the option to "Keep playing and never ask again" for when it asks if you are still watching.

Well shit. If the standard plan is going up to $17.99 for no ads, I'm dropping it. After taxes that's close to $20 and as a family, we sure as shit don't watch it that much and most of the stuff on it is pretty bleh. I get more use out of using my brother's Prime, Apple TV and Disney+. I don't use these channels much myself so I wouldn't bother paying for a sub on them anyway. I'm more content finding stuff to stream off Plex or simply watching my own movies/shows I have on my server.

We have Netflix, Prime, Apple, Hulu (with cable, Disney & ESPN), Paramount & Peacock.

So glad I decided to "cut the cord" so I can save money..............................
