I'm fine with more legal immigration of skilled or wealthy immigrants.

I know some companies take advantage of H-1B visas, I think Disney a few years ago was bringing in a bunch of workers with H-1B visas and replacing all of their American citizen workers, which is absolute bullshit. But if the US is short on engineers then I'm fine with bringing in immigrants to fill those roles.

I'm also fine with giving incentives to American citizens to go to school for these critical jobs we are lacking in. Rather than offering free college tuition for people to get a major in lesbian interpretive dance theory, I'm fine with giving free college or paying for most of the college for people to get a degree in engineering or whatever is in need.

Nah he's right. If you're going to reference a story, especially vaguely, provide a link. It's asinine to expect people to start googling key words out of your post and hoping the correct result comes up, in which case how does one even know which results are the right ones based on such a vague post?

To not do so would be a Seran move, and nobody wants to be like Seran. Not even Seran.

    Gelston is correct.

Here's a good summary of Trump's position on H-1B visas..

Trump actually said he supports H-1B visas because they work on his properties. Who wants to tell him? H-1B visas are only for jobs requiring a high degree of expertise, such as math, engineering and medicine.

Did Trump change his position, as implied in the above Tweet, to match Musk's position? Let's roll the tape and find out..

The H-1B visa program makes it easier for employers to import highly skilled foreign labor, and has been widely abused to undercut American workers. Trump has declared himself against such abuses, stating in the immigration platform available on his website that, if president, he would require employers using H-1B visas to hire American workers first. Just last Sunday, Trump highlighted two former Disney IT workers replaced by foreign workers.

But by Thursday night, the front-runner had changed his tune. When moderator Megyn Kelly cited his previous waffling on the subject, Trump announced that he was “softening” his website’s hard line. “We need highly skilled people in this country,” he said. “And if we can’t do it, we’ll get them in.”

Yet one flip-flop was not enough. Just after midnight, Trump’s campaign announced that he was reversing his reversal in a statement that promised to “end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions.”

The answer is yes. Trump is heeling Musk.

So you think all it takes to run the kinds of properties Trump owns is a bunch of gardeners or something? There is probably a reason Trump owns multiple properties and is a billionaire and all you can do is bitch about him.

So Trump wants to make sure the H1B visas work exactly how they are supposed to work? The horror!

Your absolute lack of knowledge in everything you post about is quite astounding.

I'd like to see them prove they couldn't fill the position onshore and remove the salary cap on the H1B so that its less about finding quality at cheap prices and more about bringing in the right people.

Musk is now saying employers should pay a higher minimum wage to H1B visa holders and also pay a tax for each H1B visa holder they employ, this way it would be more expensive to hire H1B visa holders instead of hiring Americans, so companies can't just import cheap labor. I actually had this idea in my head the past couple of days as I was reading all of the arguments in favor of and against H1B visas, Musk must be reading my mind!

The funny thing is watching the left wing media try to spin this as Musk "backing down" against the MAGA base and changing his mind on H1B visas.

Does the media have no shame left at all? How is addressing the concerns of people that think these visas can be used to import cheap labor show him "changing his mind" or "backing down" on his stance at all?

If the left didn't have a bunch of Clyders to parrot back each talking point they feed to the media then there would no longer be any Democrat party.

So, you took a random post of a random person as Trump's position on H-1B Visas?

Here.. let's just use Trump's actual words:

Now, let's see what random retard you decided to quote:

Some other Alex Cole other posts on X:

"I wonder if President Musk will be invited to the state funeral for President Carter?" Weird.. sounds like some alt-leftist cupcake still upset at the election results.

"It's unbelievable that this wasn't the end for him." with a pic of the shame that is January 6th "armed insurrection"

"When Republicans say "Election Fraud" they simple mean that too many Black People voted." Bro, you're black.. you're own party said you are too dumb and/or too poor to get yourself an ID.

Maybe next time cLyDeR, pick a less unhinged leftist to base your entire "argument" on.

    Fucking retard.
