I'm shocked it's so tough for someone who is overweight, and a frequent user of services (elective too, fat surgery) to not understand how these things work.

Almost all surgeries/procedures are elective, even cancer treatments are elective.

Which is why it was so dumb when Democrats were outlawing elective surgeries during the government shutdowns of 2020 and 2021.

An "elective" surgery is something deemed "medically unnecessary" to my understanding.

i.e. fat surgery isn't medically necessary because there are plenty of other non-surgical ways to not be a fatass, such as proper diet and exercise.

Elective surgery just means it's not an emergency and can instead be scheduled for a future date. Medically unnecessary surgeries such as face lifts fall under this category, but even surgeries for cancer would be considered elective too because those are usually scheduled for a future date as well.

Just like you have to pay for Dental insurance separately, even though dental problems are one of the leading contributors to heart disease and are literally part of your body.

The entire health insurance industry is evil. ALWAYS trying to break their contracts.

You really should find a different field of work, you may be able to finally wash the slime off.

Not one person is shocked as you demonstrate your retardation again. Words have meanings, pumping up “claim denials” by adding in authorizations is clearly suspect. Preauthorizations are not claims. Around 80% of preauthorization denials are because the doctor or someone at the doctor office is retarded, like you and they did not send in appropriate documentation and almost all are resolved quickly once the office pulls it’s head out of it’s ass and submits the needed documentation.

Elective surgery is anything that isn’t an emergency/immediately lifesaving and isn’t cosmetic that doesn’t involve reconstruction from illness/injury. You just keep proving your retardation.

As to being a frequent user of services, I am not, nor have I been. However, I did save up to pay off my patient responsibility for having my surgery and post-surgery I no longer require meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes or pain for my knee and hips that were damaged from my mis-spent youth doing things like motocross, martial arts, farm work and tree cutting that hastened their decline.

I do have to ask, are you one of those that demeans people for going into rehab for alcohol or drugs since there are other ways to get off booze and drugs? Do you attack people that take methadone? How about those that get therapy for their depression or anxiety? I just bet you do since you are a retarded ass.

By the way, there are many studies out there suggesting substantial cost savings for providing bariatric surgery rather than depending on other, much less effective ways to moderate weight due to the reduced cost of other care like diabetes and knee surgery. But retards like you still want to whine about how it’s the addicts fault.

^^ This is correct. Lots of people lost lots of time and money along with added pain and suffering because they could not get things like knee, back or shoulder surgery for some time during the insanity.

Right on the first part, wrong on the second. So I will also ask you, are you one of those that demeans people for going into rehab for alcohol or drugs since there are other ways to get off booze and drugs? Do you attack people that take methadone? How about those that get therapy for their depression or anxiety? Stop being a cunt. See above.

I didn't make fat surgery the topic, so why are you being so fragile and butthurt yet again?

But yes, kicking an addiction to triple cheeseburgers with an extra large chocolate shake or whatever else morbidly obese people are hooked on should be significantly easier than an addict getting off of dope.

Let me know when you see someone going into hard withdrawals (and in some cases, dying from said withdrawals) because their skipped their 3rd 1500 calorie ultra processed drive-thru meal for the day before heading to Starbucks for another 2000 calorie 200g+ sugar "coffee," and then you might have a point that could be taken seriously.

I don't give a shit if someone gets fat surgery or not, but let's stop pretending it's equal to going to the gym and eating right. And either way, it's what you do after that really matters. The same applies to dopeheads and relapsing vs. staying clean.

You don’t even need fat surgery anymore with Ozempic. If you’re willing to age your face by a few decades & tank your T levels to the point your dick stops working, anyone can lose weight without putting in the real effort.
