After all, all it takes is for the DOJ to merely say they are going to investigate someone and BAM! They are no longer "qualified" to work in the administration.

If it is determined that Gaetz actually did was he was alleged to do.. having sex with a minor and taking her over state lines... then that would disqualify him. I would need something more than an allegation from our government though.. like actual proof. Just because someone alleges something against a political opponent doesn't meet the threshold of actual proof. I honestly hope this is something you can understand as it's a very easy concept to grasp... but I'm not holding out hope, given your lot in life.

You're confusing the DOJ criminal investigation into Gaetz (which ended a year ago with the DOJ saying they were not filing any charges against him) and a House ethics probe (which is the one that ended when Gaetz resigned from congress because the House literally can't investigate a non-member for ethics violations) which is basically meaningless because the most the House could do is just say "You're a bad, bad man, Matt! Now hold out your wrist so we can slap it!"

Admit you were wrong and carry on. Prove you're a bigger man than Seran, which is such a fucking pathetically low bar you should be able to easily step over it.
