It seems to me that the pending longshoreman strike will bring pre-election chaos to the average voter, in terms of shipping delays and higher prices, that as a result voters will be inclined to blame the current Democratic administration. Given that another Trump presidency is less likely to be union-friendly, are the longshoremen acting against their own interests in timing the strike now? Or have they already decided to support Trump’s campaign?
What are your thoughts on this? What, if anything, can Harris/Walz do?
