I am not arguing with you that the parents shouldn’t be doing the same things at home. But the irony of you saying the dad took a class while arguing that the classes shouldn’t be in school is too good.

I’m not sure who that is though. RFK was the natural choice because they worked together on the first round but I don’t think they’ll go that route.
I do know if Desantis is the republican candidate I'll just stay home. Look into the Florida blogger bill introduced by FL. Republicans. He's just as bad as the far left.

I never argued the classes shouldn’t be in school, I just said schools aren’t geared that way. I just said “life skills” are a responsibility of a parent. Like wearing makeup, proper etiquette on a plane and in public, common courtesy, basic respect, etc etc.

In regards to why he did it, his wife passed away, so he’s doing both roles.

I think the majority of Americans understand that the vice president does absolutely nothing. In regards to Trump, his vice president won’t mean anything either because he won’t listen to them anyways, and everyone knows this.

Congresswoman claims most mass shooters are Democrats

“I am fed up with the media and liberals attempting to politicize tragedies and demonize law-abiding gun owners and conservative Americans every time there is a horrible tragedy,” Tenney said in the statement. “While we know the perpetrators of these atrocities have a wide variety of political views, my comments are in response to a question about the failure to prosecute illegal gun crime. I will continue to stand up for law-abiding citizens who are smeared by anti-gun liberal elitists.”

Except, according to his social media, this guy was a republican.
My point is that whenever it comes out that the shooter was a mentally ill leftist, which is a redundant term, but anyway, once that comes out, the media usually buries the story right away and you stop hearing about it. But not before they spent the first few days being like, "PLEASE LET THE SHOOTER BE A STRAIGHT WHITE REPUBLICAN CHRISTIAN MALE OMG OMG OMG PLEEEEEEASE!!!!!" and then they get legitimately upset in the instances that it isn't, as if it should matter in the first place.

Pretty sure nobody except maybe Seran is denying that there are crazies on all sides, and no I'm not going to go looking up mass shooter political leaning statistics, primarily because I'm lazy.

I also agree that it shouldn't be about left or right. It also shouldn't be about guns, because the real problem is mental illness, which everyone on all sides seem to be hell bent on ignoring beyond lip service.

Unless your name is Dick Cheney.

It’s also important enough in case the President dies or becomes incapacitated. Both Trump & Biden are old.

Right but my argument here is that these classes SHOULD BE IN SCHOOLS.

I can see your point, but where do you draw the line? I think schools are geared the way they are as it was expected that parents teach their kids life skills, sadly it seems parents are lazy and don’t want to do shit anymore.

It won’t be desantis. He was likely going to be the candidate had he not taken the money to run against trump. Would have been VP then the natural succession as the republican candidate in 2028 giving maga 12 years. It needs to be someone who will have massive pull from a group that is traditionally democrat voters. Byron Daniels makes a little sense, Trumps suburban women votes are on the uptick so he could look for a knockout blow there but I think Noem makes some sense. Obviously those 2 are targeted at specific demographics and not the more neutral candidate I think they’ll go with.

Schools in general need to be overhauled to work on more group based learning/projects and less memorization. Also kids aren’t meant to be sitting for 8 hours a day, they need to increase activity/play and have shorter more focused learning sessions. I won’t pretend to have all the answers here but I think we can at least all agree that the education system needs an overhaul.
