CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - David Huston, the man accused of driving through a group of protestors in June of last year, has been found not guilty on both charges.

Huston was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and leaving the scene of an accident.

The state and the defense both rested on Wednesday. Huston, his wife, and his daughter all took the stand Wednesday. All three testified that protestors were the ones who came up to them and made contact with the truck.

“I believe I did exercise caution, as I went around, it was about half a second as I went around them and then immediately hit the brakes,” said David Huston.



So glad, fuck those protestors! You want to protest, go ahead, but don’t stop other people from living their lives.

Incredibly surprised they even charged him. Yeah he was in the wrong for the initial proceeding through the intersection (pedestrian violation $50 ticket at best), but they then proceeded to try and obstruct his moving even after he'd stopped. Hope he sues the State.

Yeah, the video shows them surrounding his car and hitting his car, once that happens all bets are off, especially since his wife and child were the the car.

There was this video on Instagram where this father drops like $15k in front of his like 5-6 year old boy and two oeros and tells him to pick one. Of course the kid takes the oeros… and they think they understand shit about gender?

Another video was of this boy at the doctor, she asked the kid, are you male, female or non-binary? The kid replied, where’s my doctor? She said I am your doctor, and he replied, I want a different doctor, this one can’t even tell that I’m a boy. Lol
