    This was a good ruling. Normalizing race relations in the area and promoting inclusivity was hamstrung by polices like racial quotas and diversity mandates which derive from affirmative action policies. A candidate is qualified on the basis of merit, that is an always how it should be in the United States. The Supreme Court recognizing that equal protections and equal rights applies evenly to everyone and wasn't written to say certain races and classes deserve priority is quite just.
