In a celebration of the Second Amendment, more people were murdered with pew pews. 1.5 mass shootings a day? Not quite the personal freedom you all claim it is.

A mass shooting tied to a teen birthday party leaves 4 people dead and a ‘multitude of injuries’ in Alabama

A mass shooting tied to a birthday party has left four people dead and a “multitude” of injuries in Dadeville, Alabama, state officials said.

The shooting happened around 10:34 p.m. Saturday, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Sunday.

“It was tied to a birthday party,” Sgt. Jeremy J. Burkett said. “There were four lives tragically lost in this incident, and there’s been a multitude of injuries.”

Burkett declined to provide more details, citing the ongoing investigation.

One of the victims killed was a member of the Dadeville High School football team, said Ben Hayes, senior pastor of Dadeville’s First Baptist Church.
The Alabama shooting happened the same day that shots were fired into a crowd at a park in Louisville, Kentucky. Two people were killed and four others were wounded.

The US has suffered at least 162 mass shootings in the first 15 weeks of 2023, according to the Gun Violence Archive. That’s an average of more than 1.5 mass shootings every day so far this year.

The archive defines mass shootings as those in which four or more people are shot, excluding the shooter.

I'm guessing it was someone with mental illness.

    Stop normalizing mental illness.

    It's not normal.

In the majority of civilized nations, the desire to own assault weapons, rifles and other high power semi-automatics is mental illness. America's right wing has long been rife with mental illness and the NRA is driving that short bus.

The majority of so called "civilized" nations are not America and that's the point. And ALL of them live by the grace of our military and dollar and all those willing to volunteer to protect it all. If you want to live in those countries, go there. It's also pretty rich that you, a flaming, raving, insane Leftist call the right mentally ill. You who believe Socialism is better, that being a slave the the government is better and who believe men can become women and women can become men.

Go drink some Bud Light and have some soy meat, it's the weekend.

There is that very distinctive Conservative indoctrination come to play. If it's not America, it's wrong. Without America, the world ends. If a leader isn't a hard right Conservative, they're a communist/socialist demon. Was talking to a woman the other day who was a die hard anti-vax, MAGA Conservative and she was telling me how the world was going to end in 10 years due to the Rapture because Trump isn't President. I asked her about her plans for money/survivorship? She said she had social security for the 15 years of her life, even though she wasn't disabled. She told me she'd gotten her final denial and then she called Diane Feinstein, one of the Senator's of her state who helped her get a final hearing where she was awarded social security. None of her Republican representatives would help her, but Feinstein stepped up and helped her survive. All the Democrats were evil, except Feinstein who helped her.

I felt bad for her, because her indoctrination slipped for that one moment to praise the one person who actually helped her. Amazing how that works, Republicans caring nothing for anyone but the 1%, and the Democrats looking out for everyone else, but they are the enemy, unless they can help you. Amazing, and sad.

LMAO. No one believes your fake story you made up. Ok, we do believe you know someone abusing SS illegally. We also believe you live in California, probably in a tent in SF.

In 2021, the total number of people killed by assault weapons/rifles and other high power semi-automatics was 447.

To put this into perspective, handguns accounted for 6012 deaths, knives/cutting instruments was 1035, hands/feet/fists were 461.

Why are you so fixated on the gun that causes the least amount of deaths?

America's right wing has long been rife with mental illness and the NRA is driving that short bus.
If you want to ban weapons to bring about some meaningful gun control, you should concentrate on the gun that causes the most deaths in the US.

But you won't because this isn't really about bringing about meaningful change.

hold on, so that entire story was just to let everyone know that a Dem. helped some lady who isn't disabled start getting SS payments for 15 years and she's not disabled, and you think that's a positive thing to help her?
