In the theoretical conversation we're having, you are 100% correct. We could do it.

We could also stop man made global warming... by killing every human on earth.

I guess my issue is, the theoretical vs. the reality of enforcement... and I just disagree with the underlying premise of this whole conversation, because the alternatives would lead to the mass enslavement of people and societies, and empowering of criminal organizations... as demonstrated throughout history.

But yes... as I said... you are correct, it "could" be done.
Stopping climate change doesn't require killing everyone, that's a fuckin dumb, even joking it shows off your ignorance. Nature passively and actively converts a lot of greenhouse gasses, the entirety of the carbon reduction plan of nearly all developed countries is meant to reduce their emissions so that less overall increase in such emissions exceeding the natural world's ability to break them down.

    Correct.

We just need the stupid people who have believed this scam for the past 50 years to die off and boom, the "climate crisis" is magically over.

I know you say with good intent to let everybody in, but even just keeping out the criminals…we simply don’t have the resources & funding to support an unlimited number of poor people with no education or employment skills. I’m empathetic to people wanting a better life, but America wouldn’t be America if we just let everybody in.
But everyone is claiming to be fucking short staffed. Obviously we have labor needs.

We have a "that job is beneath me" and "Why would I work when I can sit at home and get paid by the government" problem.

And that isn't what is happening here. Unemployment rate is 3.5%, lower than 2006. I don't recall short staff issues in 2006. It is because we have a shit ton more jobs and no people to put in there.

I’m not sure how your job is, but that rapidly changed post-Covid. I’m in banking / financial services and we’re in a hiring freeze for the most part.

Also, can a typical Honduran refugee immigrant do your job?

    We need everyone.

Every place around here needs employees.

There are hiring signs on every business.

For the sake of this exercise, let’s take regional differences and such out of the equation and assume we need labor everywhere. So sure, bring in immigrants as needed to match our economic needs. It won’t be like that all the time however, so when there are more people than jobs we would let in less. Make sense?

Guess what? You want the economy to grow. The more people, the more jobs that also begin to open up. They'll need food, more farming jobs, more grocery stores. They need housing, more construction jobs to build that housing. It all goes through that.

A stagnant economy isn't great. America became what it is because of immigration, no because we just waited on our current population to make children.
