That shooter in Kentucky? They were a good citizens until something changed in their life that spurred them to buy an AR-15 and to use it on his coworkers after being given a termination notice. No part of a reactionary strategy will resolve that event retroactively, that's not how reality works. We know the week prior to the event he purchased the gun, so again a two week waiting period means when he sought to purchase the gun, his method of execution of the event would not exist on the day it occured. Basic logic.

Registration leading to confiscation? No.. Due process prevents that. However if someone owns a weapon and later becomes a threat to themselves or others, taking away a known registered firearm is a reasonable cause under due process.
The shooter in Kentucky was mentally ill. He always felt like he never fit in.. never could make friends. He was a self described loner.

The difference being what you perceive as an infringement of your constitutional rights is necessary regulation of one specific right, maybe with a bit of misapplied due process. What the rest of the world see is a bunch of crazy gun nuts prepping themselves to wage a second civil war, which they'll lose, because they've excessively armed every other citizen who is against them.

So what other rights need regulation and permission from the government to exercise? You know that gun control is racist don't you? Why do you hate black people?
I asked for neither your Opinion,
    your Acceptance
    nor your Permission.

Oh yeah...make guns illegal and criminals will stop owning them.

    Not.

Where you are grasping at straws is that gun owners will wage a civil war. We are the most level headed people in the country. Drink another soy latte and try again.

Oh really? If it weren't all those conservative states with the most lax gun laws with the highest firearm mortality per capita.
