Felony theft, when aided by w firearm is the entire point. Criminals need to find out the hard way that there's no commission of a crime using a firearm that doesn't have some serious fuckin repercussions.

You believe that "well regulated milita" = run by the government. There are post from you on here stating as much.

Except felony theft doesn’t require a firearm. You are speaking if armed robbery, which is a felony regardless of amount stolen.

Why just a firearm? If a felony theft occurs aided by a pointy stick, is that really less of a crime? If a person is murdered from being stabbed / strangled / beaten to death / etc., is it any consolation to the grieving family of the victim that at least it wasn’t a firearm?

I was once robbed by a guy who was armed with a piece of fresh fruit.

If only I'd taken that class about how to defend yourself when being attacked by someone armed with a piece of fresh fruit more seriously, this would have never happened.

Semantics. A pointy stick isn't going to result in mass murder, nor is a knife going to not be defended against. Meanwhile a firearm can deliver ranged death without a defender being able to seek adequate cover or mount a defense. When you've dreamed up a semi-automatic stick that can deliver the mass deaths as have firearms in the last year, please let us know.
