The Biden Administration is reactive instead of proactive. You don't tell someone like Putin that it matters how big of an incursion it is if we are going to do anything or not. Putin knew the Biden Administration wouldn't do shit militarily against him because the Obama Administration did nothing proactively to stop him.

For the better part of a year before Ukraine was invaded, the US was sharing intel about Russia's clear intentions to invade- not just with European leaders- but also leaking it to major news outlets globally to put pressure on said leaders. In fact, we were one of the only countries sounding the alarm while the rest of European (and specifically NATO) leadership laughed at the prospect.

They also started lobbying European (specifically NATO) leaders to create a united front against Russia even before the invasion. It's not an exaggeration to say that the Biden administration is the only reason why we got that united front. Getting countries like Hungary, Italy, and Germany to agree to engage in the most sweeping sanctions ever leveraged against a major world power was nothing short of a miracle.

Especially after Trump had spent 4 years criticizing our long time allies and continually trying to defend Putin's international moves. Remember when he tried to get us to roll back sanctions against Putin and his Oligarchs after they spent two years working to interfere in our elections? Remember when Trump got up in front of the the nation and told us it wasn't Putin, it was China despite knowing *for a fact* that Putin was behind it because his own campaign had been told so by Russian operatives? Remember when he discredited our own Intelligence agencies in favor of Putin- and it was extremely clear they were right all along?
