You and the 1% are the only people wishing someone making $20,000 a year and someone making $40,000,000 a year be taxed at the same 20% rate.

Many of the European nations that you Lefists love to champion as how "Socialism" has succeeded tax all income brackets. It tends to make voters think about tax increases when they affect them personally. But you and the Left are like "Nah Brah, it's unfair to make people equal before the law."

They don't need funding to hire new employees to replace retiring staff and maintain staff levels. This is a farce, they want to build their version of the Stazi to terrorize people even more.

It'll never happen because politicians are beholden to the lawyers, accountants and software companies that make billions of dollars from our current tax system.

They don't care if it's fair or not... just that it's completely convoluted and complicated to force people and companies to pay "professionals" to pay their taxes.

Flat taxes, with no exemptions at all, are very popular. The Government would bring in more money than it brings in now with even a 10% flat tax too, which is the minimum tax rate for the lowest earners right now.

Sure, flat regressive taxes are incredibly popular amongst the wealthy who are eager to increase their wealth. A graduated income tax on base salaries and capital gains taxes are how the uber wealthy, whose income is primarily derived from stock options, are how the playing field is even remotely leveled in our country.

Again, they'd on average be charged MORE because there are NO DEDUCTIONS at all.

Of course, there is also the Fair Tax, which I kinda like. It removes all income taxes, and creates a high tax rate on goods sold. IRS no longer worries about individual citizens, but rather, businesses only.
