Anyway, to your question, yes, I believe many of them would have. A lot of them were literally let in by Capitol police too and didn't have to storm anything. As a matter of fact, most of the people present weren't storming or rioting anything. There's also plenty of footage of cops giving at best maybe 1 more shit than the Uvalde police did during that recent school shooting. Pretty sure there's a video somewhere in this thread of the viking guy behind the Speaker's podium and the Capitol cop there is just kind of taking up space, not seeming concerned.

The largely peaceful protesters weren't upset at all about the election prior to Trump's speech. They thought everything was fine and nothing was out of the ordinary, and even if they didn't think the election was stolen they were still perfectly fine with Hitle...I mean Biden winning.
