On top of that, I’m making 15ish% more here than I was in Russia, coupled with a much lower cost of living… so yeah, I’m doing just as well.

First you were living in Russia and doing great because you were paid in American dollars and the ruble was crashing. You weren't concerned at all about the war in Ukraine because you had already secured a private extraction team for you and your family. Then apparently that extraction team fell apart, credit card companies stopped doing business in Russia which fucked you over, and you had to flee the country, and it looked like Russia wasn't going to let your wife leave, but they did in the end.
Now you're living in the US, making MORE money than you were in Russia (which is amazing because you said with the value of the dollar compared to the ruble you were practically living like a king.) Why were you even living in Russia to begin with? I thought the whole point of the Russian job was you were making more money, but by some miracle your job decided to pay you an extra 15% after you moved back to the states?

It’s ok to be a little jelly, I can understand. Maybe if you knew anything about working abroad in highly skilled positions, you might know something or two.
It’s typical for contracts to include housing and a driver. Working for them for 10+ years I was able to get my perks and benefits to float with me if I would take a position in a different country. Sadly they are only good for the next 2 years, afterwards I would need to renegotiate my contract.
