You just named an entire tax system at the local, state, federal level, said you're okay with some local taxes, but expect to fund a nationwide defense, entitlement, small business investment and home mortgage guarantees by somehow splitting corporate and a regressive sales tax to cover all federal and state level systems? That's not remotely realistic.

So have you abandoned the other thread because you realized you were wrong? You also called me a cuck. I’d like an apology.

Just like the constitution clearly states that each house of Congress can make their own rules, yet when the Senate does just that Seran throws a bitch fit and says "But the constitution doesn't specifically mention a filibuster!!"
While it may not explicitly state that about pet projects, it’s pretty clear that Congress has the authority to tax whatever it wants. That’s why the people have the ultimate check of voting them out if the government oversteps.

So we agree that while it may not explicitly state anything about a filibuster rule, the constitution does state both houses of congress are allowed to create whatever rules they want?

Sounds like Seran farted out an opinion again that was proven incorrect.

Over 80% of all government spending is spent on garbage and wasted. With our current system of government spending of course a flat tax would not work. The funniest part is no tax works because congress just blows it.

The government needs to be ran like a business not an unlimited piggyback for all the pork projects that literally do nothing but waste money.

Yes it is. The income tax is a wealth redistribution system and since the defense budget is about 1/6th of the federal budget, and entitlements are over 3/5ths, if you get rid of the entitlements then you can fund the rest with the other federal income. We fought 2 world wars and funded pretty much all of government up to the 50s and 60s without it being a significant contributor of funds for legitimate functions of government. Stop being a moron.

BTW, here is a breakdown of the income to the Federal Government courtesy of https://www.nationalpriorities.org/b...-101/revenues/

You really have no idea how the Senate works do you? There's a 101st vote on the table. I'll let you try to figure out who that 101st person is.
