It is a huge difference from a month ago when everyone, myself included, thought Ukraine was going to be crushed in a week. It is a huge morale boost.

Things have changed. Again, if you can't see how, I don't know what to tell you. Just don't worry about it.
    This didn't change anything.

A month ago everyone thought Ukraine was going to be crushed in a week. A week ago, now no one is so sure.

That happened well before this tiny incursion into Russia that will have zero effect on the outcome of this conflict.

Just so we're both clear on the definition of "game changer", this is the one I am using: "an event, idea, or procedure that effects a significant shift in the current manner of doing or thinking about something."

Take a look at Twitter feeds and such out of Russia. It was a huge hit to their overall feeling of safety and distance from the war. The attack terrified the locals in the area, as their "superior" air defense proved it isn't as superior as they thought.

It's caused massive shifts in Russian defenses, which allows for Ukrainians to continue to liberate cities.

Ukraine hasn't claimed responsibility for the attack: https://www.reuters.com/world/ukrain...ys-2022-04-01/

Russia pulled back from Kyiv the day before this attack even happened. This is the 4th city that Ukraine has retaken, all done prior to this "attack"

Lol if you think Russia “pulled back”. Ukraine has launched massive counter attacks and drove the Russians back.
Regarding the fuel depot, it was definitely Ukraine. They are purposely denying it.

In the US, the media is reporting that Russia "pulled back". This isn't something I'm making up or just think.

I’m aware of what western media is saying, but it’s just not true, the announcement coincided just after Ukraine launched massive counter attacks to retake those cities, it was a face saving announcement.

Yes, Ukraine did deny it for political purposes I’m guessing, but the damage has been done in Russian media and social media. That is what they wanted.

So, it's your idea that "western media" is providing cover for Russia, by saying it was their idea to pull out... even though the "western media" has been pro-Ukraine from the very beginning of this conflict?

You are literally making 10000x less sense than Alfster did when he proclaimed this operation a "game changer"...

    And I'm not surprised.

But it's always a great help when our self-proclaimed "Russian Expert" weighs in on anything to do with Russia.

Thank you for clearing it up.

I would say that pressure from European nations that depend on Russian gas and oil is starting to be felt and they may be trying to give Putin a way to save face and to help ease some peace talks. Big shift after they have tried to push for WWIII since the get go. Still a big mess trying to know what might actually be happening.

Russia "pulling back" is still a defeat on Russia part. They didn't just decide to, Ukraine almost had their entire force encircled after several successful counterattacks. They were forced to pull back. I'm not saying it was an absolute rout, it was an orderly withdraw.

Another thing that Russia failed to do is to take Ukraine's sea access. At this point it would be next to impossible for them to do it with the current forces at hand. They could send in more troops, of course, but I don't think that is happening.

There are already alleged incidents of mass graves and corpses lining the streets with their hands tied behind their back and a bullet in their head too. Is it true? Russia will never admit to it of course, but I imagine there will be a thorough international investigation.... Which will amount to nothing even if it is proven Russian was attempting genocide.
