There's no way of predicting alternative timelines. We do know it ended with the US being the only nation in history to use nuclear weapons. Then led to numerous wars where the US left with their tails between their legs.

What’s happening, we shouldn’t just sit back and help from a distance. NATO needs to defend democracies all around the world, if that could lead to a greater conflict(which I don’t think will happen) I think it’s worth the risk or this aggression will never stop. A fancy membership card shouldn’t be the only thing that saves you.

Before the invasion happened, we should have put 3,000 or so troops in Ukraine for “training” purposes, and just left them there.
