So, as of right now, reported totals are 57 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians killed, 5 Russian Helicopters taken down, 12 Russian tanks knocked out, and 80 Russian soldiers captured.

It would be hilarious if the Ukraine fucked up Russia.

Now up to 15 T-72s knocked out in a single convoy by Ukranian forces using US supplied Javelin missiles.

It was about Ukraine! Trump delayed military aid to Ukraine that had bipartisan support in Congress. Nobody could figure out why. That is, until a transcript was released of a phone call between Trump and Zelensky. The transcript, as I am sure you remember, was unclassified but somehow got stored on a top secret server where nobody could see it. In the call, Trump told Zelensky that he was ready to provide the aid, but "I would like you to do us a favor though...." Remember that? The favor was to produce information showing that Trump's political opponent, Joe Biden, and Joe Biden's son were corrupt. After the phone call became public knowledge, the aid was promptly released.

Trump said it was a "perfect" call. He said when he asked Zelensky to "do us a favor," he really meant "do US a favor." It should have been capitalized, you see, which would make everything fine, since Trump was asking for a favor for the United States, not himself.

Poland and Romania are both NATO countries. They wouldn't unless all of NATO was in with them.

I don't think Putin would go at NATO, because he knows that is WW3 with the US and pretty much the entirety or Europe vs basically just him.

Dunno, putin despises nato and doesn’t feel many of the countries belong in nato. If he believes other countries won’t risk WW3 he may go into a nato member. He wants to restore the Soviet Union. Poland would be a nice get for him.

Well, there are a bunch of NATO troops, including a lto of US troops in Poland right now. I think we'd need to draw a hardline there.

When he took Crimea, it cost his GDP 1%. All the sanctions in the world aren't going to deter him from this.

Ukraine borders four NATO countries. Crimea did not border any NATO countries. If Russia takes western Ukraine, then the world will be a much more dangerous place.

Putin is a cunt but not stupid. Attacking a Nato member state means war with all of them. That’s the whole point of Nato.

Nah he is just going to take a little chunk of his-krane and the West will hit Russia with trivial sanctions. We already see those sanctions crumbling with Germany rejecting the idea of ejection from SWIFT. It’s 2014 all over again..

In his press conference today, Biden said that the sanctions are worse than ejecting Russia from SWIFT. Who here knows enough about SWIFT to tell us if that is true? I do not understand what SWIFT is. Something about sending wires.
