What was the reason why Trump was impeached the first time? Anybody remember?

It was about Ukraine! Trump delayed military aid to Ukraine that had bipartisan support in Congress. Nobody could figure out why. That is, until a transcript was released of a phone call between Trump and Zelensky. The transcript, as I am sure you remember, was unclassified but somehow got stored on a top secret server where nobody could see it. In the call, Trump told Zelensky that he was ready to provide the aid, but "I would like you to do us a favor though...." Remember that? The favor was to produce information showing that Trump's political opponent, Joe Biden, and Joe Biden's son were corrupt. After the phone call became public knowledge, the aid was promptly released.

Trump said it was a "perfect" call. He said when he asked Zelensky to "do us a favor," he really meant "do US a favor." It should have been capitalized, you see, which would make everything fine, since Trump was asking for a favor for the United States, not himself.
