    "and call themselves Christians/Catholics."

That wasn't you saying "No TRUE Christian/Catholic would still support the church after this"?

    Please.

If a few examples of misdeeds by BLM members is enough to discredit the entire movement... I have some bad news for you about conservatives, the NRA/Gun Rights movement, Christianity in general, the United States as a nation, the founding fathers, etc. etc. etc.
Probably one of the most profoundly accurate quotes applicable to the modern age and one I had no idea was used by G.W. It's true that people as a whole will dismiss an entire group, organization or agenda based upon bad actors within them. It's not hard to pick apart how wildly inaccurate those applications of motive are to an organization as a whole when you realize those crimes or beliefs are antithetical to what is actually going on. A fantastic recent example is Jerry Falwell Jr, who resigned in shame following a massive sex scandal and now misappropriation of funds, both acts which are diametrically opposed to the teachings of Liberty University created by his father. His actions do not represent the core tenants of the organizations he was associated with.

Where it is problematic is when the beliefs and misdeeds come from the leader of an organization, AND that the leader is not only revered after exposure of their crimes of heretical beliefs, but they then those actions become defended, celebrated or taken up by the organization as a whole. Read: Donald Trump and The Big Lie and the January 6th Insurrection. Conservative pundits in the Republican party have not only taken over the party with lies about the 2020 election, but they to this day celebrate crimes committed on January 6th as heroes and people like Babbitt as martyrs.

Yeah poor Andrew Cuomo. Yeah sure he repeatedly lied to the public and falsified public records, made laws & policies that murdered the elderly, and sexually assaulted every woman that ever worked in his staff…. But come on people! He won an Emmy in 2020 for his motivational daily Covid speeches! Let’s not judge him so harshly.

Hi Dreaven, great job completely missing the point as usual. You should go take a nap while the nurse readies your thorazine.

Is Seran accusing everyone of being me again? That's the only thing he has left in his life.

Nope, for decades and decades, to this very day, they still proudly state their support for the Church and call themselves Christians/Catholics. If you don't think people who support equality voice their displeasure at crimes committed in the name of protest, I apologize that your perspective is from a place of extremely one-sided ignorance. Look at the hyperbole you use when discussing one side vs. the other, BLM DID EVERYTHING BAD, CATHOLICS DID EVERYTHING RIGHT AND WERE ALWAYS TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. You have, in my estimation, an extremely black and white view of the world that doesn't allow for nuance at all, and this stupid perspective basically informs everything you think. The real world is significantly more complicated than you want it to be so hard so you can feel like you're on the side of good and can look down on the evil democrats, black people, etc. and root for their humiliation and destruction, like they're your enemies, not just fellow human beings with which you disagree with. There are good Catholics and good Christians, the church can do a lot of good things, but the church CAN do some bad things. It also has been exploited for greed and criminality for centuries. Look at the mansions megachurch pastors have. The private planes. The sex scandals those people have. It's all well documented, and you don't see 1/100th of the uproar from Christians from their own faith being exploited than you do seeing them attack BLM for similar even if you insist that they totally hold their own accountable.

Most non-fringe people tend to make the distinction that they support BLM the movement but not BLM the political organization. BLM the political organization is a self serving racket. BLM the movement is not.
