Terrorists break into US Capitol Building

By the numbers from liberal news sources on the January 6th Capitol Riot:

Approximately 10,000 people gathered to protest in front of the building.
Approximately 2,000 people entered the building (20% of the original crowd)
Approximately 700 arrests were made (7% of the original crowd)

Therefore can we say that the Capitol riot was 93% peaceful?

(I’m not actually suggesting this, but my point to use numbers and logic like this and then call it “mostly peaceful” is insulting and disingenuous.)

The 93% number is the number of protests that were completely peaceful. If we want to drill down to the level of individual people, I'm sure that the number would be closer to 95 or 97 percent. If we wanted to get REALLY nitpicky and remove the instances where violence was initiated by police(there is plenty of video evidence of this), we'd get an even higher percentage. So 93% is pretty generous!

In this segment it was clearly visible arson fires and destruction of business and property.

And here you are today calling such protests mostly peaceful. It sounds to me that you are more than willing to marginalize & excuse the violence when it comes from a source that’s aligned to your own politics, but also quick to condemn & inflate the severity of an incident when it’s from the radical side of opposite political spectrum. I call that hypocrisy.

Well, first off, so what? We're not talking about whether or not I'm a shithead here. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, it's irrelevant.

The phrase mostly peaceful is unrelated to any broadcast. It's just the phrase I used to describe the situation. You may have seen memes or whatever based on that but it's the first I'm hearing of it.

The 93% number comes from The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) which is a nonprofit that monitors political violence around the world. The link there will tell you who funds them.

The 93% is actually an old number from 2020, they did an update to the report and the number increased to 94% with the data from 2021.

The report also found this:

• Authorities are three times more likely to intervene in pro-BLM demonstrations than they are in other demonstrations.
• When intervening, they are more likely to use force against pro-BLM demonstrators: 52% of the time, compared to 26% of the time against all other demonstrators.
• These trends hold whether demonstrations have remained peaceful or not: authorities have engaged non-violent protests associated with BLM more than twice as often as other types of non-violent protests.
• When intervening, authorities have used force 37% of the time against peaceful pro-BLM protesters, compared to under 20% of the time against other peaceful protesters.

Let's assume that what you said is actually true and the protests weren't mostly peaceful(93%, overwhelmingly peaceful even) and that it's PERFECTLY FINE to retaliate to the actions of Democrat voters with attacks on the people they elected. Some really BIG assumptions here but ANYWAY...

The "5 years of democrat terrorism" is a retaliation to A HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS(post slavery of course, I'm generously not even counting that) of police treating black people worse than other races, murdering them with impunity, locking them up at disproportionate rates for the same crimes, etc. By my count they have a few more years of destroying everything, before the "standing up to the bullies" is over.
