Default Biden's inflation economy: inflation hits 40 year high

Experts were expecting the official inflation report to show a 7.3% rise in inflation in January. Turns out it the number was 7.5% for January, the highest rise in inflation in 40 years.

So if you're jumping for joy because "Biden" got you a 3% raise last year, guess what? You can thank Biden for effectively lowering your pay for the rest of your life.

Teenagers who were excited because that job at McDonald's was "only" offering 12 dollars an hour before Biden and now they are offering 13 dollars an hour?! Wow! Thanks, Biden! Except wait, after Bidenomics kicks in, you're effectively only earning about $12.10 an hour. Thanks for the dime, Biden!

And the best part is the Bidenomics inflation train shows NO signs of slowing down! If you were earning 50k a year under mean ol' Trump, your purchasing power is effectively 46,250 now under Biden. If Bidenomics keeps up at this rate and we see yet another 7.5% increase next year (or even higher! Who knows what miracles Biden can work?!), then that means this time next year your purchasing power would be 42,781 dollars a year. Biden essentially stole 7200 dollars (14.4% of your yearly income) a year from you, only in his first 2 years in office!

Is there anything this man can't do?!

You know, other than successfully pulling the US military out of a country without causing widespread human rights abuse and causing starvation, and without murdering an innocent man and his young children?

Or, I don't know, fucking up the government COVID response by epic proportions?

    Causing massive supply chain disruptions?

Boosting Russia's economy and emboldening them to war with Ukraine?

...what has this man done right again? Other than not be Trump of course.

True. Instead we get an angry old white man who just yells at people and insults them directly to his face. Progress! Maybe the next Democrat president can go one step further and kick people in the groin whenever they anger him, and the media will fawn all over him and say what a great leader he is.

I loved his forced shot mandate he wanted to push through on private business.

Because of it two of our truck drivers that weren't looking to retire until the end of the year said fuck it and put in their paperwork early and are retiring early. Everything was put into motion for them and they're sticking with leaving about 6 months early. One driver has his last day tomorrow and the other driver at the end of March.

Now we're in a bind trying to find replacement drivers and until we do, we're left being dependent on third party companies to help us ship material. If replacement drivers can't be found this could impact the bottom line because it'll end up costing more day after day using a third party logistic companies....so that means we might have to increase pricing to customers by increasing their overall cost for material or tacking on a flat delivery fee to help offset our increased shipping costs.

So, thank you Biden for your worthless fucking stupid mandate that pissed people off.

Kicker of it all, the company I work at has around 120 people working in two different buildings across 3 different shifts. No one stands next to each other while working, everyone is generally spaced out 10+ ft most of the day, yet a forced mandate was attempted to be forced upon the company I work at....at it was a business considered "essential" so we've been up and running the whole time the stupid fucking shut down was pushed. Considered "heroes" for working then, now considered a problem if working now.

    Biden is a fucking retard.

I'm sure one of our resident "experts-in-everything" leftist friends will be along shortly to tell you that you obviously don't know anything about business and that Biden has somehow helped you.

Um the inflation is global, and it's largely from COVID-related supply chain issues.

We just had record growth in the US, and wages are going up quickly. That's about as good as it gets when dealing with global inflation

    A) This isn't an excuse.
    B) You're (as usual) full of shit anyways.

    Switzerland inflation: 1.5%
    Japan: 1.7%
    Isarel: 2.8%
    France: 2.9%
    Hungary: 3.1%
    Norway: 3.2%
    South Korea: 3.6%
    Sweden: 3.9%

But don't worry, we are in good company with countries such as:
    Russia: 8.4%
    Ukraine: 10%
    Egypt: 10.3%
    Ghana: 13.9%

Wrong again. Even if this were true, that would be "LOCKDOWN AND GOVERNMENT MANDATED (largely by Democrat and left leaning politicians around the world) BUSINESS CLOSURES related supply chain issues." Let's not pretend the virus is responsible for supply chain issues when anyone with even a single brain cell can see it was the shutdowns and business closures that led to this.

We had record growth under Trump too, AND wages went up under Trump too, AND we managed to have minimal inflation.

Suggesting record growth and wage growth inevitably leads to record high inflation is 100% fake news and we don't even have to go back that far in time to prove that you are once again pulling shit directly out of your ass.

Also when inflation outstrips wage growth then wage growth means absolutely nothing.

Your nominal wages going up 3% means jackshit if your real wages GO DOWN 7.5%. I take that back, it doesn't mean "jackshit", it effectively means you received a pay cut.

    Buy bitcoin folks. Still cheap

Also, inflation is this high from the government printing trillions the last few years. I’m blaming the government and no one in particular.

Inflation is outpacing everything. If you’re aren’t increasing your personal wealth by 20+% yearly than inflation will devalue your money.

I diversify my investments, but I prefer tangible assets like real estate & precious metals. (And of course my 401k but I just contribute and let the plan do it’s thing.)

Friends and family thought I was completely nuts when I bought 50,000 rounds of 7.62x39 back in 2019 for $0.14 a round. I sold half of it in 2020 & 2021. I can go shooting anytime I want basically for free, and it also funded more firearms to add to my growing collection / hobby.
