I was just thinking about this after reading comment, after comment, after comment, after "news" story, after "news" story, after "news" story, about how horrible the truckers in Canada are.

So a couple of years ago truckers were considered one of those "front line heroes" that we all had to admire and thank.

A month or so ago when truckers refused to enter Colorado and were creating traffic jams in protest of a guy who killed 4 people and got a prison sentence they deemed too excessive, these truckers were hailed as heroes.

Months of left wing rioters burning down entire city blocks, responsible for dozens of murders and hundreds of assaults, taking over police stations and setting fire to them, fire bombing government vehicles, and countless other violent acts, they were classified as "mostly peaceful" protesters by the left and the media.

And now truck drivers in Canada are causing little to no property damage, haven't assaulted or killed anyone, and made life a bit uncomfortable for the politicians and the people who voted them into office, and now it's like "ZOMG! These people are the worst people to have ever existed! Just get the shot and shut up, bigot!"

Just like the January 6 protests, government officials and their sycophants don't care when it's everyday citizens who are being murdered in the street and losing their homes and jobs, they only care when it's the government who has to feel a bit of discomfort for a little while.

I think it's time for the left to get a taste of their own medicine for a change. It's not like they are blocking farmers from doing their thing, they are clogging up the areas right outside of parliament, which is about as far left as you can get.

But as per usual the left and the media are claiming these truckers are "alt-right" and yes even "Trump supporters", because Trump has fuck all to do with Canada.

I disagree. The only way the left is going to learn is to hold them to the same standards. They spent years ignoring shit when BLM and Antifa were doing shit like this and much worse. Now they want to deem groups who oppose them and do the same shit as terrorists.

Sitting idly by while leftists get away with actual murder and property destruction isn't going to make them change their behavior.

What the truckers are doing isn't even the same thing. They have already clogged up the roads, police are diverting traffic away from the clogged up roads. This is way different than when BLM would just stand in the middle of a freeway at random, essentially holding every single person on the road as a hostage because the police were told to stand down and let them do it.

No one is turning down a street and suddenly finding themselves stuck because truckers are blocking them in.

Uh...except they pretty much did in 2016, which is when they really ramped up the violence and it apparently helped them in 2018 when they took back the House and again in 2020 with their constant threats of more "protests" if they didn't win elections then they "won" the Senate and presidency.

I'll be willing to bet money that even if they get wiped out in the 2022 elections that suddenly BLM and Antifa will become a thing again and they'll be rioting and destroying entire city blocks again for years while the mainstream media and Democrats say they are just expressing their right to peacefully protest.

A school bully isn't going to stop beating the shit out of kids and stealing their lunch money because they all took a vote and said the bully was wrong. The bully only stops when he gets the shit kicked out of him and he realizes that his actions of consequences. Right now the Democrat party is the bully who doesn't have to fear consequences for their actions. Kicking them out of office only emboldens them to act out even more.
