If they breached a securely locked down Congress without a single firearm being shot or even seen by a protestor (I don't feel like googling to see if there's a photo of someone open carrying a weapon in the Capitol, so I am assuming there wasn't one. Police would be all over that for obvious reasons) that doesn't really seem to me that it was very well locked down, and certainly not secure.

As far as a peaceful sit-in, do we really want to look up the government buildings in Portland that were attempted to be set on fire while people were inside of them?

So let me ask you this, did you really expect the Capital Police and Secret Service response to be an armed shootout with the nearly TWO THOUSAND who breached the capital, or the other THOUSANDS who broken through security fences and police checkpoints? If so, please contact your Congressional representative now and let them know you're for armed responses utilizing deadly force against any trespassing on federal property, because you seem to think the riots in Portland where more people were far more serious than insurrectionists trying to contravene a constitutional process and overthrow the government on behalf of a President who was desperately trying to hold onto power.

One lasted for weeks and did a whole lot of damage. The fact that was allowed to even happen is more amazingly stupid on Portland and their city, but that's another topic.

But uhh yeah, if 2k people rushed the White House, do you know how many people would be left standing? Zero. I don't have to call anyone to verify that.
