It may shock you to learn that you can address multiple problems with a single act. Like promoting unionization(1) and the purchase of electric cars(2) by offering a rebate on union-made electric cars(1+2).

If they were so concerned about the environment and actually believe electric cars will help, then they wouldn't put stipulations on it.
