We'd also be losing the benefits that come from having them here. They pay payroll taxes but can't benefit from Federal programs. So they're funding systems for other people to use them. It's estimated that they bring in over $11 billion in Federal tax revenue every year.

They also contribute about $1700 a year to the government while equivalent native born citizens contribute an average of $1300. Meanwhile Dreamers are twice as likely as native born citizens to start businesses, and over the next decade they're estimated to contribute $460 BILLION in economic productivity.


And about 28% of Fortunate 500 companies were founded or co-founded by the children of immigrants- many of whom were originally undocumented.

Despite the fact that there is a whole wing of folks who have decided to build careers out of demonizing undocumented immigrants in this country, they've actually been hugely important for our economy and are responsible- directly or indirectly- for many of our biggest companies.

So they're less likely to commit violent crimes, more likely to contribute to the economy while less likely to make use of Federal government programs, and their children have been MASSIVELY beneficial to our country. People don't like to talk about these things in political circles, but they are 100% true. We hurt our country by ignoring these realities.

They aren't "undocumented immigrants", they are illegal aliens.

You clearly have no fucking clue what you are talking about since the 80s and 90s boom was from decreased regulation and better taxes on business. The tax increase on the wealthy had zero to do with it. The marginal tax rate on the wealthy is meaningless and that has been proven over and over to you with multiple reputable sources but you still buy in to your selfish and entitled mentality of jealousy and envy of the people that are better than you to call for taxing the rich.

That's what nearly every economist has pointed out for decades and yet the Republican party has continued to preach lower corporate taxes. Trickle down economics doesn't work, period. Corporations don't pass profits on to employees as higher wages, it pays dividends, does stock buybacks or massive executive bonuses. This is why an inflation indexed minimum wage is so vital.

You think Walmart would have nearly 1.6 million US employees right now if the government taxed even more of their money? But the federal government is so careful with tax payer dollars! Surely they wouldn't piss it all away on a park in San Fransisco from Nancy Pelosi's slush fund!

They never invest that money or build infrastructure. Nope. Never! Corporations somehow start out as small 10 person operations and end up being worth hundreds of billions of dollars by just staying in the same garage they started out in.
