There are for sure food shortages. The price of beef has gone up in my area by something like 50 cents a pound depending on the cut of steak it has gone up anywhere from 1 dollar to 3+ dollars a pound. Prices don't climb that high in a year unless there is a disruption in the supply chain somewhere.

Seran is an absolute moron if he claimed there aren't any food supply shortages. Just because most of us said they haven't seen anything like in that one video you posted doesn't mean everything is great. I have seen plenty of empty shelves for both food items and non-food items.

Same thing that woke has to do with a lot of the labor shortage, a bunch of entitled brat children thinking they are too good to do a tough job and they deserve $15 an hour pay on $2 an hour job skills with a 15 cent an hour work ethic. My brother the fence contractor pays well above minimum wage to start and most people start at over 15 an hour, he is clear that it's hard work, outside in the heat and cold and the only requirement is they show up and aren't drunk/high (no drug test, just can't be wasted while working), don't mouth off at work (can't piss off customers) and must be a US citizen. He still can't get people to show up to work.

Meanwhile, the parents and families of these entitled darlings of all ages along with the government support them.

I almost can't wait for the real social collapse that is coming and all these whiners get a real lesson in oppression, violence and hunger. Sad part is that it will hurt millions that don't deserve it.

I am for the meme of swapping on a 1 for 1 basis any of the woke kids in America for Hong Hong, Taiwanese or hell, Venezuelan citizens advocating for freedom.

Rising prices in the grocery store is the result of price manipulation by wholesalers. As shown by an investigation by the New York Times, ranchers are facing record low prices for their herd, while member of the bug four beef slaughterhouses are enjoying profits 6-8 times the industry norm. You've got to wonder at the blatant dishonesty of shit bags like Dreaven claiming a food shortage exists when supplies are being artificially limited by four companies who control 80% of the beef industry.

This in one places where President Biden can take the lead in requesting his Justice Department launch an investigation of anticompetitive practices, price fixing and collusion. Where it's clear an industry or a small number industries have a monopoly it's the place of the Federal Government to act.

These are heady times for the beef packing industry. Processors like JBS and Cargill are making as much as $1,000 in profit per head of cattle they slaughter and package into ground beef and steaks — well above the norm of $50 with occasional spikes to $150, according to analysts at RaboResearch.

About 1,700 miles to the east, Brad Kooima scans the 3,000 cattle in his feedlot in Rock Valley, Iowa, on the South Dakota border. These days, he’s losing $84 a head.

“The frustration for producers like myself is that you’re looking at a situation where demand for beef, domestically and globally, has never been this good,” Mr. Kooima, 63, said. “And we’re not making any money.”
