Let's try this one more time:

"I will give you my honest opinion, and my honest opinion and view shaped my recommendation [to the president]," McKenzie said. "I recommended that we maintain 2,500 troops in Afghanistan, and I also recommended earlier in the fall of 2020 that we maintain 4,500 at that time. I also have a view that the withdrawal of those forces would lead inevitably to the collapse of the Afghan military forces and eventually the Afghan government."
He recommended 2500 troops remain in Afghanistan, where does he qualify that by saying "Only through the withdrawal date"?

I'm not even saying you're wrong, I just want you to provide a transcript or video where he made such a qualification, because even far left wing publications who openly praise Communism such as NPR are saying the general contradicted what Biden said.

Trump sets the conditions for ending the war... Biden tries to take credit.

Biden changes the conditions for ending the war... Biden tries to blame Trump.

Seems about right for Washington politics.

If that's all you took from it and absolutely ignored the testimony indicating increased risk to life, unjustifiable cost for little change in circumstances and testimony none of them advocated a permanent stay, then I can understand your ignorance. But you're wrong.

Furthermore, do you legitimately care that we left Afghanistan beyond trying to drum up as much political opposition to President Biden as possible? Republican Senators seem to care nothing about Afghanistan beyond trying to make Biden look like he lied. Fox News and the Examiner CERTAINLY care about nothing more than misquoting as much as possible to make the President look bad.

But I'm curious why you think we should be in Afghanistan. The military has said there's no justification for it. The elected Afghanistan government stole more money than they used to help their people and is now in exile. The Afghanistan army surrendered by in large without resistance and disappeared with American weapons and gear.

So what exactly is in it for Dreaven? Is this anything more than the Taliban adhere to radical Islamic beliefs? Because of its Christian good, Muslim bad, I'm going to be severely disappointed.

The irony of this. Trump hadn't even began to evacuate people prior to the end of his Presidency and gave every indication he was going to flee the country before 5/1/2021. Do you honestly believe the outcome would have been any different?

Biden at the very least had his military advisors planning since he took office and made a plan to be finished by 8/31

    Items of note:

"The four parts above are interrelated and each will be implemented in accordance with its own agreed timeline and agreed terms. Agreement on the first two parts paves the way for the last two parts".

"Following is the text of the agreement for the implementation of parts one and two of the above. Both sides agree that these two parts are interconnected. The obligations of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban in this agreement apply in areas under their control until the formation of the new post-settlement Afghan Islamic government as determined by the intra-Afghan dialogue and negotiations".

    Conditions based.

Biden comes in... scraps it all... ignores the conditions based agreement... chaos results.

We'll never know what would have happened, had the conditions based agreement had been adhered to...

Trump deserves credit for ending it.

Biden deserves credit for the fucked up way it ended.

    Pretty straight forward.

Pretty straight forward that the Agreement was null during the Trump administration for the failure of the Taliban to negotiate on good faith with the Afghan government. That was already established. The General already testified that the Taliban was in violation of every term of the agreement, save attacking US soldiers as of 2020.

    Nice try though
