Thread: Things that you have taken seriously today (Political version)

We have 405 billion we are paying in interest on debt. That's 33% what we spend on SS. 25% what we spend on medicaid/medicare. More than 55% what we spend on defense.

Federal spending is nearly double our Federal tax revenue (7 trillion vs 3.8 trillion). Any household in America knows you can't do this for forever. At some point the bill comes due, and the billionaires and multimillionaires don't make enough. Talk about where we should be spending all you want, when reality is we should be cutting everything the government does to right our budget for the next generations. There isn't even a fiscally responsible party anymore and frankly I don't think the millennials or whatever they are calling the generation after them have a clue how it's going to affect them in their "golden" years. Look at Greece and France and Italy and the measures they are having to take (and literal riots are occurring over) for a hint.

Because it's wrong to take peoples money to destroy resources rather than using those resources for the taxpayers society we agree to live in.

Which has not one fucking thing to do with the comparison of what others spend to what we spend.

He specifically said to stop paying people not to work and that would pay for infrastructure.
Yes they are and yes they are entitlements.

Just to be clear, you want to take the money that people have paid into and redistribute it to the common good.

You realize when you are speaking directly of an entitlement, it is a right or earned object right?

I worry about how much debt we owe China...and what happens when China decides we have exceeded our credit limit.

Absolutely fucking nothing. The major vast majority of the debt is owned by the US Public. China owns about 1 trillion in US debt. The US is OWED well more than that by other countries, because we also buy debt in other countries. We own more debt in other than countries than we owe to foreign holders of US debt.

Want to see why people get upset about "mandates"... it's a slippery fucking slope.
