Local news agencies in Afghanistan report it was a local ISIS affiliate and the Taliban rushed to condemn the violence.

Regardless of the situation, 1 thing should never be in question.. which it now is..

Unequivocally it should be the statement of the US Government.. "Leave us alone as we get who we want, when we want, out of the country. If you stand in our way, you will be killed. If you stand aside, we will leave. Failure to understand our commitment to the protection of our people, will be your death."

70,000 evacuated from the Kabul airport in the past week, epic. Our military has had a command performance thus far and with a reported 1,500 Americans left in the country, scarcely 10% of the original figure it looks like success is near.

No surprises that the briefing generals and stage department reps have been cagey on just how those outside of Kabul will be taken home from the country, I'm guessing as little information as possible to the Taliban is their goal.
