Any kind of smoking isn't gonna be great on your lungs, that's true. However it doesn't contain all the toxins like cigs, so it's quite a bit safer. I actually gave myself a mild case of asthma in 2017 from too much dabs (about a gram a day, lol), so I don't smoke those anymore.

It does get triggered once in awhile now when I smoke waaaaay too much out of glass instead of joints (which I prefer anyway), or when I have a particularly tough run in cold weather.

It's a very different high. I prefer joints over edibles just because I more often than not get dizzy and too high too fast, I have to slowly work my tolerance up. Bananas really help the shitty side effects tho - anything high in potassium will help, but bananas are the best.

That's a myth.

Smoke is harmful to lung health. Whether from burning wood, tobacco or marijuana, toxins and carcinogens are released from the combustion of materials. Smoke from marijuana combustion has been shown to contain many of the same toxins, irritants and carcinogens as tobacco smoke.

That has a lot to do with the illegality / scarcity of it IMO. If it weren't illegal and one could just grow a bunch of it in the garden, you'd likely see a shift over time away from smoking and towards edibles. Smoking would never go away entirely though because it's faster and enjoyable to some.

Lets not forget the added chemicals in tobacco, which are arguably more harmful than lets say a filterless joint.

I'd imagine when marijuana becomes completely legal and edibles start getting sold in stores and stuff, that percentage will go way up. Smoking in general is on a heavy decline as it is.

Does that specify from where the toxins are coming tho? From the actual plant or from the ignition source? I generally use hemp wick to light mine because it doesn't put the butane anywhere near your lungs.

I think she is comparing the makeup of cigs to your more commonly rolled marijuana. If pot was legalized, I'd be willing to bet the cigarette companies would make some shitty, toxin filled, addiction forming version of that too.
