At roughly 21 minutes, the one officer is traped between the door, with the officers pushing behind and the <insert title> supporters pushing the other way. You can see him spitting up blood.

    Totally non violent tho

Man pictured with foot on desk in Pelosi's office is arrested

Images apparently showing Richard Barnett of Arkansas in the speaker's office became emblematic of the mayhem that tore across the U.S. Capitol.

WASHINGTON — A man photographed casually sitting with his foot on a desk in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office at the U.S. Capitol while a pro-Trump mob rampaged the halls of Congress was arrested Friday, law enforcement officials said.

Richard Barnett, 60, of Gravette, Arkansas, was taken into custody in his home state on federal charges of entering and remaining on restricted grounds, violent entry and theft of public property, according to a Department of Justice official. Further details were not immediately available.

    ...

The FBI is requesting the public's help in identifying other Trump supporters who unlawfully invaded the Capitol for about four hours, with investigators poring over surveillance footage and social media posts. But the vast majority of the hundreds of people who stormed the building were allowed to leave without getting arrested, making the task of tracking them down exceedingly difficult.

So far, dozens of arrests have been made, including 41 people who were at the Capitol grounds late Wednesday and early Thursday, according to D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department.

Pete Williams reported from Washington, and Erik Ortiz from New York.
    Hope he enjoys jail.

Oh boy! I wonder if bail funds will be set up and 99% if these charges dropped by pro-crime DAs!

Police working harder to arrest trespassers than they did tracking down people burning buildings and homes while people were still in them.

So remember how the United States Capitol building was under siege, and we barely heard from Trump for hours?

Turns out he was busy calling Senators while they were barricading against the rioters and were hiding in undisclosed locations until the rioting had died down and it was safe to do their jobs again.

Trump first called the personal cell phone of Lee, a Utah Republican, shortly after 2 p.m. ET. At that time the senators had been evacuated from the Senate floor and were in a temporary holding room, as a pro-Trump mob began breaching the Capitol.
Lee picked up the phone and Trump identified himself, and it became clear he was looking for Tuberville and had been given the wrong number. Lee, keeping the President on hold, went to find his colleague and handed Tuberville his phone, telling him the President was on the line and had been trying to reach him.

Tuberville spoke with Trump for less than 10 minutes, with the President trying to convince him to make additional objections to the Electoral College vote in a futile effort to block Congress' certification of President-elect Joe Biden's win, according to a source familiar with the call. The call was cut off because senators were asked to move to a secure location.
    and

The second call to Lee came in at 7 p.m. ET from Giuliani. Lee did not answer the call so it went to voicemail. Lee's office confirmed to CNN that the voicemail was intended for Tuberville and the message left from Giuliani was very similar to one that another unnamed GOP senator received. The transcript of that call was published by the conservative outlet The Dispatch as well as the news blog emptywheel.

"Sen. Tuberville? Or I should say Coach Tuberville. This is Rudy Giuliani, the President's lawyer," he said according to to the transcript.

"I'm calling you because I want to discuss with you how they're trying to rush this hearing and how we need you, our Republican friends, to try to just slow it down so we can get these legislatures to get more information to you," Giuliani said, referring to unfounded claims of voter fraud in the presidential election.

"I know they're reconvening at 8 tonight, but it ... the only strategy we can follow is to object to numerous states and raise issues so that we get ourselves into tomorrow -- ideally until the end of tomorrow."
So basically once his angry insurrectionists had succeeded in disrupting the electoral vote count, he decided that was a good idea to say "Hey, so while you're cowering in fear over this mob I sent to you, maybe now is a good time to push back the count".

But he totally didn't send that angry mob on purpose, and he was clearly very concerned for the health and safety of everyone there.

So which of the mindless conservative trolls want to take a stab at justifying this one? Because this should be good.

Google has banned Parler for failing to moderate as it was being used to plan a domestic terrorist attack on our nation's Capitol.

Seems like Apple is likely going to do the same thing now regardless of what Parler's response is. (Spoiler alert- so far it's been "We ain't gonna do no moderating!")

And the left continues to celebrate big tech censoring anyone and everyone. “But Google cares about net neutrality!”
