Question to FurryTrash. Which of the executive powers over his or her state do you think a member of Congress would you think would have any effect in January of February? Can they close the borders.. No. Deploy troops to affect border screening.. No. Order federal agencies to disperse medical equipment or obtain intelligence on an international scale.. No. They could order stationary and send very strongly worded letters. That's about it.

Yes, the power to do something about it was most definitely separated and, with futility, placed elsewhere.

And we come full circle. Perhaps if you try really hard, perhaps you'll understand how the executive branch failed to utilize the resources the country to protect it.

Draw your kindergarten shapes with your crayons all you want. Not a single member of Congress from California was even aware of the increased volumes of flu-like symptoms in their districts, let alone raised an alarm with the CDC, FDA, Health Department, yada-yada-yada. Had this been known well before February, we actually could have done something about it.

So, members of the California delegation was somehow supposed to have better intelligence than the CIA or NSA and somehow have better medical information than the CDC or NIH? What exactly would be these powerful sources, the ability to order an intern to use Google? Set staff to searching Facebook?

    Again, your ignorance is staggering

I still get a kick out of Seran thinking the CIA had some sort of super secret inside knowledge of the Chinese flu way back in November and apparently told Trump and only Trump, and Trump decided to purposefully keep this information a secret.

Trump farts and 20 people leak it to the media, the CIA had some sort of secret knowledge of a deadly virus heading our way and suddenly every single person in the federal government becomes tight-lipped.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad that people like Seran are legally allowed to vote.
