The mayor absolutely makes the final call and can pressure the police chief to fire the officer. This is what I mean, why do Democrat politicians get a pass? If they want to clean up the police THEY are in charge of then they can get more involved instead of wanting their plausible deniability.

If even the mayor's hands are tied because of police unions then maybe it's time for Democrats to stop kowtowing to unions and demand change in unions as well.

From what I could find: State police (or Troopers, or Highway Patrol Officers, etc.) are hired and fired by the State Police agencies. City police officers are hired and fired by city police agencies.

According to CNN it’s up to the police’s internal affairs about these complaints.

Can you elaborate on failed? Failed because she’s retarded? Failed because of police union pressure?

Peaceful community activists shut down a highway in St. Louis and started to harass drivers who were stuck in the traffic jam they created. In one particular incident a FedEx driver was surrounded by these community activists and they started climbing on his vehicle, which prompted him to drive off because he feared for his safety. One of these community activists apparently thought it was a good idea to get between two trailers before the truck drove off, resulting in his death.

In Portland aggrieved Sunday school teachers surrounded a car and began firing into it, hitting one of the passengers who required hospitalization.

How exactly am I passing the buck, by asking how/why she failed? Pretty sure I also said “Failed because she’s retarded?”
That’s not exactly how passing the buck works.

She ran her campaign as being "tough on crime" as a prosecutor. The problem is she went after low level non-violent offenders and wouldn't touch the tough stuff. Derek Chauvin was involved in a shooting in 2006 while she was a prosecutor. It wouldn't be sent to a grand jury until after she left office and by her successor.

So she’s retarded and everyone else after her as well, as he was still a police officer up until now.
